I’m trying to help raise funds for my dear best friend, Anjanette Pierce, to complete her college degree- and we are under a very short timeline. All money raised from this offer will be applied to the $500 needed for Anjanette. Dear family and friends:
I have enrolled in college for this fall semester at Southwestern Christian University to finish my degree. One of the requirements for me to be able to make this happen is that our home church would need to support me in a church match scholarship. Unfortunately, our home church, Lighthouse Worship Center has a scholarship fund that is needing sponsors. This fund would also help support Shamane, my daughter.
The good news is, I am only lacking three classes to obtain an Associate of Arts degree from Southwestern Christian University. I would be completed with my Associates Degree on December 19th, 2012! :) After seeking counsel from our family and spiritual mentors, Jeffrey and I have decided now would be the best time as any for me to finish college. Especially since some of my classes are reaching the 10 year mark and I will lose those credits so I have to try to finish ASAP. I have also been granted a Pell Grant since Shamane is taking college classes. I am also only lacking 34 credit hours for my Bachelors Degree after I complete my portfolio.
I am requesting a $500 church-match scholarship from Lighthouse Worship Center for the Fall 2012 semester. I will be applying for other scholarships online as well but I am not sure how quickly I can get approved.
Jeffrey and I have been serving in the ministry together for the last 6 years. While Jeffrey and I have been College and Career Pastors the last three years at Lighthouse Worship Center, I have often felt strongly convicted to finish my degree since I have encouraged the students to do the same. We know this will be a temporary sacrifice for our family but we are devoted to do what is best for our family in the long term.
Your generosity to support the Lighthouse Worship Center scholarship fund will give me the opportunity to reach my educational and spiritual goals. I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider supporting the church scholarship fund to grant me the $500 church-match scholarship for Fall 2012.
