Artomatic has come to an end and I deinstalled all my stuff this weekend! I am truly grateful for this experience! I didn’t sell anything yet but I learned a lot about myself as a brand new ARTIST and myself in general. I’m excited to put my work out there more and to create more work! Thank you Artomatic for the opportunity and thank you a ton for telling me to register!

Heyyy! I realized that I don’t share much about myself on this page so this is just a little post to introduce myself if you don’t know me!

My name is Tyler Malinda-Joi Garrett and I’m a quirky, over smiley, 33 year old from NC! Hooray for 90s babies 💁🏽‍♀️💁🏽‍♀️! I’ve been on something I’m calling a “journey of transformation” and I use this page to highlight my growth in life, creatively! I create to heal; to improve myself; to show gratitude to God; and with hopes to change or impact others lives in a positive way!

If you couldn’t tell I’m blackity, black, black and I absolutely adore my culture ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾! And despite the confusion my first name may cause I’m 100% female! I mention these characteristics because they have a major influence on the work I usually create.

At this time I don’t post or engage much on this page but all that is changing now!

Jesus Year - Age 33 💜

With this year being my Jesus year I pray to continue to get closer to You. I am beyond blessed and grateful for another chance to become who You called me to be. Lord, I thank You!

I intend to fully listen to You and use the gifts You’ve given me, unashamedly, for Your purpose! I surrender my fears to You and I will remain confident in You and Your guidance! Beginning this year I fully surrender to listening to You and just going for everything You lead me to do!

Father, I wanted to show my willingness to surrender by using my gifts to create this photo, to visually and metaphorically portray my surrender to Your will. I know this is not a final product and that I have a lot to learn but part of this process is doing what I can with what I currently know. I truly believe You will increase my confidence and knowledge as long as I’m faithful with the little I have.

El Shaddai, I am beyond blessed and grateful to see this day, this year, Jesus’ year, age 33! 💜

May the Holy Spirit bring me closer to You, Amen 🙏🏾
