After more than 16 years of Hayes Fine Art, I’ve decided it’s time to close this chapter.
Photography has been part of my life for much longer than my business. It started in a high school photography class, and I’ve pretty much had a camera in my hand ever since. What started as something I loved eventually became a business that grew beyond anything I could have imagined.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing thousands of families, babies, children, moms, athletes and so many special moments. But even more than the photographs, I’m grateful for the people. Clients became friends. Employees became friends. I’ve watched babies grow up, families grow, and people come back year after year. That is the part I will always treasure most.
Now, both of my kids are heading off to college, and it feels like the right time for a new chapter for me too.
And surprisingly, this isn’t a sad decision. It feels exciting.
I don’t know exactly what I’m doing next — which is a little scary and also kind of wonderful. I’m looking forward to figuring out what the next version of my life looks like.
One thing I do know: I’m not giving up photography. In fact, I’m excited to pick up my camera again simply because I want to. To photograph my family, travel, beautiful places, everyday life — and whatever catches my eye — without it always needing to be part of a business.
I’m incredibly proud of what I built and so thankful for every person who trusted me with their memories and supported Hayes Fine Art along the way.
It’s been an amazing chapter.
And I’m really excited to see what comes next. ❤️
