Let’s talk business……
I was declined from a job today.
BIG COMPANY.
HUGE
Why?
My stipulations.
Blanket stipulations from legal.
Zero liability for said company.
ALL liability on me.
Lack of respect for my time.
All this, after I offered a discount to meet their budget (even though said company is a multi million dollar company).

Don’t be afraid to say no. Don’t be afraid to stick up for yourself.

I knew the job was too good to be true when I saw their events, and the photographers they hire. I don’t usually toot my own horn. I always say there’s someone for everyone. I wasn’t this time.

I’m ok with that. I won’t invalidate myself for a big corporation that isn’t willing to respect me and my business. But that’s also business.

Advocate for yourself. Stand up for your product and business. It’s ok to be proud and be humble at the same time. It’s also ok to be proud and advocate for what’s best for you and YOUR business.

A lot of people would ask me why I’m not fighting for said business. Bc when someone starts the convo with you’re not worth your price, in different verbiage, it’s instantly a red flag for me with a big company.

My Story

Hey you! Thank you for coming to my page to share my photography journey with me. I'm currently a happily married, mom of 2 boys (#boymom!). My journey started a couple years ago as me editing for a fellow photographer, and ended up being something I loved doing, so here we are!
