Growing up, I watched him capture moments for others, seeing firsthand the incredible impact a single photograph could have on someone's life. He gave me my direction, and he's the reason I know exactly what my photography stands for today.
When I started this business, I knew I wanted to carry that legacy forward. That's why a core part of my mission has always been giving back to the community. By gifting memories and charging nothing for community-focused work, I get to share the craft my dad passed down to me with the people who need it most. Honestly, being a business owner means getting creative, and sometimes the best transactions don’t involve a credit card reader. Swipe through to see the actual items I’ve accepted in replacement of money.

Now I have bartered more things then this: trips, fresh haircuts, actual promotions, and some fresh drip (clothes). These are by far the worst offers that most businesses say no to and I actually said yes to depending upon the situation.

Digging through the archives and reminding myself why this photo remains an absolute favorite.

There’s nothing quite like unearthing a gem from the archives. This image, a favorite from a 2018 creative collaboration, is a perfect example of what happens when vision and assisting come together seamlessly.
I was working primarily on the posing for this specific session, guiding the model into this deliberate, powerful, low squat. The angle was critical, captured from below to give the posture a sense of grounded strength that fills the frame.
What I love about this photograph, and what makes it a standout from that year, is how the energy is direct and unapologetic. The direct eye contact, framed by the glasses and framed again by the black cap, holds the viewer’s attention. A good pose is not about perfection; it’s about translating an attitude into a single, still moment.
The shoot came out amazing because the whole crew understood the assignment. Every piece of work is a brick, building on the foundation of the portfolio. This one still feels fresh.

My face when people ask why I don’t just post everyone’s photos like other photographers... 🤫📸

If you scroll through social media, it looks like the standard rule for photographers is: shoot, edit, post everything. But I do things a little differently around here, and I want to tell you why.
To me, the moments we capture aren’t meant for the whole world. They were meant for you.
I take immense pride in client confidentiality and protecting your privacy. Some sessions are done strictly for your eyes, your partner, or your family, not for likes and comments from strangers.
Even when it’s a promotional shoot for my own business, I don’t post a single thing without explicit permission. When a client does give me the green light (or posts them first!), I will share a sneak peek, but edited specifically to match my public portfolio style, keeping the true, intimate vibe of your specific shoot entirely exclusive to you.
Building trust and making sure you feel safe, comfortable, and respected, from the moment you book until months after your gallery is delivered, is my absolute priority. With every click of the shutter, you go from a client to family. And you protect your family.
