Some of you may remember Athena.

She was one of our rescues and has been part of our herd and daily life over the last two years. Like many rescue stories, hers wasn’t simple—but she mattered, and she was ours. We loved her as she was. Plain and simple.

Over time, her dental issues continued to progress. Even with regular care and management, she began showing increased signs of discomfort and was starting to struggle with eating and processing her food. We also noticed she was beginning to lose muscle and weight.

We discussed her current diet and care plan with our vet, and he agreed that with how we were feeding and managing her—especially considering her age and the condition of her teeth—there wasn’t anything more we could realistically do for her. We were already doing everything we could, and she was still starting to decline. It also became clear that she was showing increased discomfort overall.

Given all of the factors, our vet agreed that humane euthanasia was the kindest option for her and she was laid to rest on Thursday.

I’m grateful she got to have one last run with her herd—free and moving like herself—and this moment with Willow feels especially meaningful to me now.

It’s never easy, but there is peace in knowing she is no longer in pain and no longer struggling. She crossed the rainbow bridge with half a tail… the mark of a good horse. 🌈

Brawley & Sage | Wedding

Saturday was such a special one. 🤍

I've taken a step back from weddings recently... But when Jenny, the mother of the groom reached out asking if I could capture a small, intimate ceremony for just a few hours... I couldn't say no.

And I'm so glad I didn't.

There were only 8 people there... just their parents and siblings. No big crowd, no pressure... just the people who matter the most to them. 🫶🏼

Their vows were absolutely beautiful, and the bride... she was stunning. But more than that, she was so easy going and genuinely happy to be marrying her best friend.

And before the ceremony... one of my favorite moments...

They wanted to wait to see each other in their tux and dress... but she couldn't help herself. She called him while they were both getting ready just to check in on him. 🥹

It was the sweetest thing.

And the way he loves her...

Not loud. Not showy.

But in the quiet intentional ways that matter.

Picking up her train so it didn't drag... fixing her veil so it wouldn't get caught... staying close, always aware of her.

They love each other quietly.

And those are the kinds of love stories that just stay with you. 🤍

I'm so thankful I got to witness and capture something so genuine.

Congratulations to this beautiful couple. Wishing you a lifetime of quiet love, little moments, and a happiness that only grows with time. May you always find your way back to these small, meaningful moments-the ones that remind you why you chose each other.

Chatt | Easter Mini

I had the sweetest time during my Easter minis with this beautiful family of four. 🤍

Their newest little one is just 3 months old, so we followed his lead the whole session... including a quick feeding break in between. And honestly, that's exactly how these sessions are meant to go-relaxed, flexible, and centered around your little ones.

After his snack break, he gave us the sweetest little smiles. 🥹

Big sister brought all the sass and personality (in the best way 😍) and is already the most loving big sister. You can just feel how much these babies are adored.

Mom and dad are doing such an incredible job, and I absolutely loved getting to know this sweet family and capturing this special season for them. Thank you for trusting me to capture your beautiful family.

I’ve had little ones bite my fake pumpkins, play ball with my Easter eggs… and this sweet little guy? He thought the flower smelled so good… it must be an apple 🍎🌸
