For anyone new here, hi — I’m Kelley✨ a natural light photographer with 17 years of experience working with 35mm film, digital, and polaroid. The best way I can describe why I love shooting with natural light would be to quote Architect, Louis Kahn…. “To design with light is to collaborate with the universe.”
Natural light feels intuitive to me, it guides me, inspires my creativity, and ultimately makes my work feel more connected.
Outside of photography, I’m a certified sound practitioner and flower essence practitioner. I began working with sound and plant medicines professionally in 2020, although my initial connection with both began years earlier. In 2023, I started exploring clinical sound therapy, and spent the last 2.5 years working at a local hospital providing sound therapy to patients. I’m now managing the shop at where I also get to share my photography and sound healing, it’s the best!
I also share pieces of my life through my holistic wellness blog — focusing on organic skincare, nutrition, and the belief that nature and creative expression are incredibly healing.
I’m originally from Richmond, VA but spent over 10 years living and working between Charleston, SC and Los Angeles, CA. Both places will always be very special to me. They each led me to connect with so many aspects of myself I would have never expected. My husband is from Miami, we met in Charleston, and relocated to RVA back in 2023. He’s a chef by profession, and helps me with a lot of my recipes. He’s also a pretty amazing photographer himself, and a rippper of a skater. He’s my best friend and my biggest supporter.
I’m happiest in the sunshine, spending time with family and friends, moving my body, practicing qigong, exploring TCM, traveling, writing, and creating in any form I can…. from beeswax candles to skincare, I love working with my hands. I hope to publish some coffee table books later in life that hold all of my favorite film photographs from over the years.
This space is where all of those parts meet—art, wellness, and the rituals that keep me grounded. Thanks for being here 🤍
