I’ll admit I’m (Jen) not the best at remembering names. Scott is definitely much better at that. So last night when their oldest quizzed me during the session and asked me if I knew his parent’s names and what they were, I’m relieved I passed with flying colors. That’s the first time I’ve been asked on the spot…and hopefully the last (although we did get a kick out of it) 😂

"Post sneak peeks from wedding last weekend". Sounds easy enough, right? Find a variety of images from the wedding you just shot and write a little something about how the day went. Simple.

However...sometimes you get perfect weather, zero stress and a couple locked in on each other all day long and you realize that just choosing 10-20 images to tell the story feels impossible. Let’s be real. Engagement sessions are ridiculous 😂

You walk around holding hands on command, whisper fake secrets into each other’s ears and somehow end up laughing in the middle of a field while a photographer cheers you on from 20 feet away.

But honestly? The couples who just lean into how goofy it all is always end up having the most fun. These two showed up ready to laugh at themselves, mess around and just be together for a bit and that’s exactly why these photos feel so much like them.

That’s the secret honestly. The best engagement sessions aren’t about being perfect. They’re about being comfortable enough to be a little ridiculous together.

If this is how we’re starting wedding season, we’re in for a special one 🤍 Makenna looked absolutely stunning, Clayton was completely smitten from the second he saw her and Dad barely held it together during their super sweet first look. The parent dances had us in tears and somehow after all of that, the day still gave us the dreamiest golden hour light to close everything out. 2026 Wedding season, you are looking amazing!
