I lost count how many times I cried or got glassy eyed during Ruby and John’s day. Just two really young kids getting married who love each other and the Lord fervently.

I was washed over by the reminder of the simplicity of life.

Love well, work honestly, raise some children, tend to what God has given you, love your neighbor, live quietly.

We drove home remembering that we also were once those two young kids getting married and what a beautiful thing it is to grow and grow up with the love of your life.

Praying for countless years of a beautiful and blessed life for Ruby and John 💛

Hosting two separate days of ✨ Senior Mini Sessions ✨

These are the perfect in-between! Enough time for natural and meaningful images while keeping things simple and relaxed. Perfect for laid back kids who want the pictures without too much fuss, busy schedules, moms who want just a ‘few great photos’ and even homeschoolers! Just a little capsule of who they are right now!

Stepping into someone’s home can be equal parts beautifully ordinary and overwhelmingly sacred. The raising of children and the loss of a child. Gratitude and grief existing in the same place. Carrying love in your arms and your heart all the same. A Saturday in April I won’t soon forget. 💛

In my top five favorite places in the world: a dugout.

Kids screaming, thinking, cheering chants learned from big brothers, singles doubles triples dingers we might be small but we still hit dingers, destroying $5 bags of seeds in 20 seconds flat…living their very best lives. I want time to freeze there. As bonkers as sports mom life can be, a minute as a fly on the wall in the dugout leaves me feeling like the richest person in the world.

In the words of my husband, “Life can get crazy once you enter the tornado of travel baseball, but don’t lose perspective - these are the ‘good old days’ (as you will refer to them when the kids are all grown up and you’re sitting in a quiet house with a garage full of old, dusty, unused little league gear). We’re living that right now.”

Cheers to the days we will be talking about 20 years from now ⚾️💛
