There is only one race: the human race. Ten children (five sibling pairs) from five Rochester families came together at the Liberty Pole on June 13, 2020, in a pocket of the afternoon after one protest ended, and another began. Though they came as brothers and sisters, they left as BROTHERS AND SISTERS.

This was a different kind of demonstration, without force or rhetoric - without anger, without contempt. Upon meeting each other for the first time, these children worked together openly and easily to show that we are UNITED and full of LOVE in Rochester, NY.

Thank you to the families that participated in this collaborative art project to show our community what really matters. These children are the future, and the future is now. In the final photo, my daughter joined the group. Her help on set was paramount to its success.
