Anyone else looking forward to a little routine while wishing summer would stay just a little longer? 🥹

Between the school lists and all the things we meant to do this summer, I’ve been making more room for what matters most to me: my family. Nothing extraordinary, just time together before another season begins.

The moments I treasure with my own family shape the way I see and photograph yours. For this session at the George Eastman Museum, I intentionally stepped back to include the beautiful architecture and gardens, bringing together the elegance of the setting and this family’s refined style. But just as important was leaving room for the laughter, movement, and closeness that made these photographs theirs.

Those little moments can feel so ordinary in the middle of a busy week, yet mean so much when you get to see them in a photograph you can hold in your hands. 🤍

Still dreaming about this romantic, elegant, boudoir-inspired maternity session, styled and guided by TheUntetheredphotographer.

There was something so beautiful about creating maternity portraits that felt powerful, yet intimate and feminine. Pregnancy transforms us in extraordinary ways, and your changing body deserves to be celebrated as art.

Beautiful photographs are part of what I promise you. But helping a mama truly see herself through them, to see the love she pours into her children reflected back to her, is something I will never take for granted.

Motherhood can keep us so busy wondering whether we’re doing enough that we forget to notice everything we’ve already created: the way your babies put their arms around you, how safe they feel in your arms, give you the flower they just picked, the joy on their faces, and the little people they are becoming because they have been so deeply loved.

Family photographs aren’t only about remembering what your children looked like in this season. They preserve the tenderness, laughter, the beautiful chaos, and the quiet ways they reach for you without even thinking. They are proof of a life and a love you should be deeply proud of.

And if my photographs can show you even a glimpse of what your children see when they look at you, that is a privilege I will never take for granted. 🤍

Three things I want you to know before you book your family session…

1. You don’t need to know how to pose. I’ll gently guide you into beautiful light and natural connection, so your photographs don’t feel stiff or forced.

2. You’ll have access to my thoughtfully curated client wardrobe, taking one more decision off your plate and helping everyone look beautifully coordinated.

3. And most importantly, your kids are allowed to be kids. They can move, explore, play, cuddle, and take a moment when they need one! Some of the most meaningful photographs are found in those unscripted, in-between moments. You don’t need perfectly behaved children or any experience in front of the camera. Simply show up, love on your people, and let me take care of the rest! 🤍
