Jerran, Enslee, Emmi & Evynn 💛

These four ladies were absolute ROCKSTARS for their session.

And when I say they braved the bugs… I really mean it. 🙃

All the rain we’ve gotten lately has apparently created a five-star mosquito resort, and poor Enslee and Emmi were very much on the menu. Somehow, though, they kept smiling, laughing, and looking absolutely adorable while we fought off the swarm.
We kept this one to a quick 30-minute session, which was honestly the perfect amount of time to capture these sweet sisters with their mama without dragging everyone through the South Carolina heat and mosquito convention.

And then there was Evynn.

Let me just say, this girl was NOT impressed with our tactics to get her to smile. We tried the noises, the silly faces, the usual nonsense… and she basically looked at us like, “Are you finished?”

Honestly? I respect it.

We wrapped things up with a little test drone shot, too. I’m still debating whether drone shots need to become a regular part of my sessions, but I have to say… I’m kinda loving the perspective.

Despite the bugs, the humidity, and one very serious little lady who refused to be persuaded, these girls absolutely crushed it. 💛

Thank goodness Jessica and Jett were willing to pivot at a moment’s notice 💛

I showed up to their session location about 30 minutes early, only to discover that the weekend storms had quite literally left our entire location underwater.

So, with a quick change of plans, we headed over to Creekside at Burnt Mills, and honestly, I think it worked out exactly how it was supposed to.

We spent the morning enjoying the peaceful creek, capturing some sweet moments, and ended the session with a little float down the river.

The whole vibe was retro, relaxed, and just plain fun, and I think it’s safe to say Jessica and Jett absolutely nailed it. ❤️

“Ain’t it fun livin’ in the real world” 🎶

First time meeting Liv, and somehow she trusted me enough to drag her out into the South Carolina heat before 10 a.m. 😂

We spent the morning wandering around Blacksburg, which just happens to be her old stomping grounds, checking out a few new spots for photos and putting a new lens to the test.

And let me tell you… South Carolina humidity does NOT play.

Was I sweating? Absolutely.
Did my camera ever completely de-fog? Questionable.
Was it worth getting up early for? 100%.

I’m also starting to think early morning sessions might be my new favorite thing. The light is chef’s kiss, the locations are quiet, and there’s at least a slightly lower chance of completely melting.

Liv was such a natural in front of the camera, and I’m so glad our paths crossed. I’d say our first session together was a pretty dang good one. 💛

Now, if anyone needs me, I’ll be inside pretending it’s fall. 🍂

Justin & Camryn 💍✨

CONGRATULATIONS, YOU TWO!

These two are officially ENGAGED, and I am so incredibly happy I got to be there to capture it. 💛

Justin planned a surprise proposal for Camryn while the two of them were visiting Rock Hill, South Carolina from San Diego, and when they told me they wanted their session to have a beautiful, natural setting, the Daniel Stowe Conservancy was an easy choice.

There was a little bit of planning, a little bit of uncertainty, and just enough suspicion from Camryn that maybe something special was going to happen on this trip… but she didn't know exactly when or where. 🫶🏻

And then, on a perfectly overcast Carolina morning, Justin got down on one knee and asked the question.

Camryn said YES. 💍

Afterward, we spent some time exploring the conservatory and capturing all the sweet little moments that came with officially becoming fiancés. From the lush greenery to some of the most beautiful spots throughout the conservatory, it was the perfect backdrop for the beginning of this next chapter.

Justin & Camryn, thank you for letting me be a small part of such a huge moment in your story. And I'm so glad the Carolinas got to play a little role in your love story. 💛

What a FUN morning. ✨

First of all… can we talk about this property?! Chelsey's neighbors were kind enough to let us use their property for photos.
And when I say property goals..I mean just look at it. 😍 Chickens, horses, a donkey, and SO many incredible antiques and little details everywhere you look. I could have wandered around photographing every corner for hours.

And then there’s Chelsey, who made this early-morning session an absolute breeze. 💛 She was so much fun to photograph, and I swear the combination of her energy + that gorgeous property + that soft morning light was just chef’s kiss.

These are the kind of sessions that remind me why I love what I do — getting to explore beautiful places, meet amazing people, and turn a little piece of their everyday life into something they can keep forever.

Hunter & Sophia 🤍

Was I completely soaked from the morning dew by the end of this session? Yes.

Was it entirely worth it for this gorgeous, glowy morning light? Absolutely. YES.

I don't know how I continue to luck out with photographing the BEST people, but I am certainly not complaining. 🥹

I met up with Hunter and sweet little Sophia at Creekside at Burnt Mills in Blacksburg, South Carolina, and this little girl was an absolute dream to photograph. Not even six months old and already completely stealing the show. 🤍

Sophia spent the entire session taking everything in with these big, curious eyes—looking around with so much wonder and excitement. And somehow, through all of it, she was just all smiles. She was perfectly content to explore, cuddle with Mom, and occasionally give the camera a little attention. 🥰

There is something so special about photographing these tiny in-between stages. They're changing SO quickly, and I love getting to freeze a little piece of that season for families to look back on years from now.

And Hunter, thank you for being willing to wake up early and meet a stranger on the side of the road. 😂

I'm so grateful I get to meet so many wonderful people through this little photography adventure of mine—and even more grateful when they trust me to capture the moments that matter most.

I’m leaving Madelyn’s sweet face off social media to respect her privacy, but you’ll just have to trust me when I say she is absolutely precious. 💛

I’m also learning that South Carolina in August is a whole different kind of hot. 😂 I’ve lived in a few different states over the last couple of years, but I’m not sure any of them prepared me for this humidity.

Sweaty? Absolutely. Worth it? Also absolutely.

I’m really loving getting to explore new places, meet sweet families like this one, and settle into South Carolina one session at a time. 💛

I had the honor of traveling to New Mexico to capture Shawn + Jessica's beautiful wedding day. Under the warm (okay... HOT 😅) desert sun, they exchanged vows surrounded by the people who love them most. 💛

From Nerf gun battles and Converse sneakers to a murder mystery and countless heartfelt moments, this day was uniquely them—filled with laughter, joy, and so much love.

Well friends...
2026 has already brought another big change for Hannah Nichole Photography.

After saying goodbye to Louisiana, I'm officially calling South Carolina home. Rock Hill, to be exact.

If you've been following along for a while, you know this little business has been on quite the journey over the last few years. What started in Illinois led me to New Mexico, then Louisiana, and now South Carolina. Every move has brought its own adventures, challenges, and opportunities that I never could have planned for.

Back in New Mexico, I learned to keep an eye out for rattlesnakes during sessions and fell in love with wide-open landscapes, mountain views, and endless sunsets. More importantly, it introduced me to some incredible people who trusted me to capture their stories and became friends along the way.

Louisiana brought a completely different kind of magic. From wandering through the colorful streets of the French Quarter to photographing beneath giant oak trees draped in Spanish moss, it quickly became a place that felt like home, even during my short time there.

𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫.

One of my favorite parts of photography has always been exploring new places and meeting new people. Now I get to do that throughout the Carolinas. From charming small towns and mountain views to coastal sunsets and everything in between, I'm excited to explore every corner of this beautiful region and document the stories that make each place unique.

While moving boxes and unpacking for what feels like the hundredth time isn't exactly my favorite hobby, this move feels different. South Carolina already feels like a place where we can put down roots, build community, and create a home for years to come.

To every client, friend, and family member who has supported Hannah Nichole Photography through every state line crossed, thank you. Whether you've been here since Illinois or just recently found my work, your support has carried me through every move, every new beginning, and every mile in between.
