This past week we lost our friend Jon Wille after a courageous battle with illness. Jon was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, and a friend whose presence shaped everyone around him. His impact on the BMX community runs deep — he mentored countless riders, from freestylers to racers, helping them push their limits and master truly rad skills.
His family’s backyard bike park became nothing short of legendary, a place where riders learned, progressed, and felt at home.
Last night at East Moline BMX Speedway, we honored Jon in our own way — taking a lap together, riders launching into some sweet jumps in his memory. It was a tribute worthy of the joy and energy he brought to the sport and to all of us.
