THREE MORE SLEEPS… 🐾❤️

Paradise is beautiful, the Caribbean sun has been good to us, and we’ve made memories we’ll treasure forever… but there are two little faces waiting for us at home who have been on our minds every single day. 🥹🐾

Three more days until we’re reunited with Harper & Riley! ❤️

I can already picture it… the excitement, the wiggles, the puggle kisses, the “Where have you been?!” looks, and then those first long cuddles that make everything feel right again. 🥰

We’ve loved every minute of this adventure, but there’s something about coming home to the ones who love you most.

Three days, two very missed puggles, and one VERY happy reunion ahead. 🐶🐶❤️

Home is wherever Harper & Riley are. 🏡🐾💕

☕️🐾 Coffee just isn’t quite the same without my furry babies beside me. ❤️

We’re having an absolutely amazing time here in paradise, soaking up every moment and making memories… but there’s always a little piece of home missing.

Harper and Riley have been on my mind every day. I’ve gotten pictures and updates, and thankfully they are doing wonderfully, being spoiled and loved just as they should be. 🥰🐶🐶

It’s funny how you can be surrounded by breathtaking views, sunshine, and everything you dreamed of… and still find yourself missing the ones who make home feel like home.

Paradise is pretty wonderful, but it would be even better with two furry faces, velvet ears, and those big brown eyes sitting beside my coffee. ❤️☕️🐾

Miss you, Harper & Riley. Mommy loves you more than you’ll ever know. 🥹❤️

Lately, we’ve just been soaking up every minute with our pups before we leave for vacation. ❤️

And if I’m being completely honest… I’m having a harder time thinking about being away from them than I ever imagined I would.

I know they are in the very best hands. Mikayla is wonderful with them, she’s stayed with them before, she’s family, and she’s a vet tech. I truly couldn’t ask for a more perfect person to love and care for our babies while we’re gone.

So why does my heart still feel a little heavy?

Maybe it’s because I’ve realized how much of my happiness is tucked into the ordinary moments with them.

The cuddles.
The soft kisses.
Those velvet ears I can’t stop touching.
The little looks they give me that somehow say, you are my person.
The laughter they bring into our home every single day.

They’re just… always there. Part of our routines, our adventures, our quiet moments, our lives.

And now I keep thinking, What am I going to do without those soft ears to play with? Without those eyes looking up at me with so much love? Who’s going to make me laugh when I need it most?

Vacationing was never this hard before.

I know we’ll have a wonderful time. I know they’ll be happy and spoiled and loved. And I know they’ll be right here waiting for us when we come home.

But I also know I’m going to miss them more than I can put into words.

So for now, I’m savoring every cuddle, every kiss, every goofy look, every moment.

Because sometimes the hardest part of going away is realizing just how much you love the ones you’re leaving behind. ❤️🐾

My beloved Baxter. ❤️

There are some losses that break your heart, and then there are losses that change you forever.

While my heart and soul were already in fight mode as our beloved Baily battled cancer, our boy Baxter became sick. We made trip after trip to the vet. We made calls. He was treated for kennel cough, but nothing helped. Nothing improved.

Then came the X-rays.

The devastating news: Baxter had lung cancer.

I left that day broken and shattered. Two of my beloved dogs were fighting cancer at the same time.

And then, just a week later, Baily crossed the rainbow bridge.

I truly believe she was saying, “Now you fight for Baxter.”

But my poor boy didn’t have long to fight. Just one week after Baily, Baxter crossed the rainbow bridge too.

We had adopted Baxter when he was only a year old. He came storming into our house like he already knew he was home. And from that very first moment, he stole the heart of everyone who ever met him.

Baxter loved hard. He gave himself completely to everyone.

Every time someone walked through the door, he would grab whatever happened to be nearby and bring it to them as his gift. That was Baxter. His way of saying, “I’m so happy you’re here.”

He lived life large. He embraced every single day with a joy that was impossible not to feel.

And going up north? That was his absolute favorite. The moment we opened the truck door, he would jump out and race around like all the excitement in the world had been bottled up inside him and he finally got to let it loose.

He was adored by us and by his two Puggle sisters.

When Baxter died, the dark place I was already in became even darker and deeper. I was paralyzed with grief.

And so was our Puggle girl.

Watching her grieve, watching her become depressed and lose that spark, was more than my heart could take.

With the very last bit of strength I had, I went looking for a Puggle puppy.

And then came Riley.

I believe with all my heart that Riley was sent to me by Baily and Baxter.

He came into our lives when we needed him most. And for months, through the tears and the sobbing and those incredibly painful days, Riley helped me and Jada find our way through the grief.

I will always believe there was a little bit of Baily and Baxter in him.

Baxter, my boy… I love you forever and always. There will never be a day that I don’t miss you. You gave us a lifetime of love in the 6 years we were blessed to have you, and I will carry that love with me forever.

And when my time comes and I walk toward those gates, I know you will be there waiting for me.

And I know you’ll have something in your mouth to bring me.

Just like you always did. ❤️

Until we meet again, my beautiful boy.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever my Baxter. 🌈🐾

🐾 Two Dogs. Two Sleeping Styles. One Very Full Heart. ❤️

Dogs belong in beds… and apparently, they also come with very strong opinions about how that bed should be used. 😂

Riley chooses to sleep like a little human—curled up on his side, head on the pillow, paws stretched out, completely convinced this is his bed. 😴🐾

Harper, on the other hand, prefers to disappear completely beneath the blankets. If you can’t see her, she’s probably perfectly happy. 😂❤️

Different sleeping styles, same result: two little bodies beside me, filling my bed and my heart.

I wouldn’t trade these crowded nights, stolen blankets, little snorts, warm paws, or the occasional paw to the ribs for anything in the world.

Because honestly… the best part of going to bed is sharing it with the ones who make my heart the fullest. 🐾❤️

A Clean Bill of Health ❤️

August has always been a difficult month for me.

Seven years ago, I lost two of my beloved Puggles to cancer. My boy was only seven years old. Two devastating losses, back to back, both to cancer. It changed me in ways I don’t think I’ll ever fully explain.

So when Harper and Riley turned seven and it was time for their yearly physicals, I walked into that veterinary office carrying more than just two dogs on leashes. I carried seven years of memories, fear, and a mind that couldn’t help but run through every possible what if.

But today, I get to breathe.

Both of my babies received a clean bill of health. ❤️

And because I know how quickly life can change, we also talked through a health care plan moving forward—one that gives me peace of mind and gives Harper and Riley the best chance at many, many more healthy years by my side.

I know I can’t control tomorrow. I know loving these two means someday I’ll have to face a goodbye I don’t even want to imagine.

But today, they are healthy.
Today, they are happy.
Today, they are right here beside me.

And today, I’m choosing gratitude over fear.

Seven years old, healthy, and still giving their mama plenty of reasons to smile. ❤️

My precious Harper and Riley… may we have many more years, many more adventures, and a whole lot more of this beautiful life together. 🐾❤️

For today, that’s more than enough.

Sometimes there’s nothing special happening at all.

No big adventure. No funny story. No grand moment to capture.

Just my two babies lying in the grass, doing absolutely nothing… and me sitting there thinking how incredibly lucky I am to call them mine. ❤️

Because that’s the thing about being a dog mom. You don’t need anything extraordinary. Sometimes the most ordinary moments are the ones you want to freeze forever.

The faces. The personalities. The little quirks. The way they make an ordinary day feel full.

So here’s to the quiet moments, the green grass, the goofy faces, and two dogs who have no idea just how deeply they are loved.

Nothing special going on here…
just a dog mom absolutely adoring her babies. 🐾❤️

There are obsessions… and then there is Riley and his green ball. 💚🎾

Today’s agenda? GREEN BALL DAY. And apparently, nothing else exists.

The looks. 👀
The snorts. 😂
The lunging.
The intense stare-down.
The barely-contained excitement.
And that “THROW IT AGAIN. RIGHT NOW.” anticipation between every single toss.

He watches that ball like it’s the most important event of his entire life—and honestly, in Riley’s world, it probably is. 😂

Throw it.
Bring it back.
Stare at me.
Snort.
Lunge.
Repeat.

All day long💚

Some dogs have hobbies.
Riley has a full-blown green-ball addiction. 💚🐾🎾

And judging by that face… he’s already waiting for the next throw. 😂
