Sadie Rose (African American, b. 1997) was born and raised in Rocky Mount, NC. Sadie received her Bachelors of Fine Arts at Barton College.

She is a photographer, screen printer, and muralist whose work explores the avenues of African American culture and its disparities. Her works are defined by lyrical lines, color, fabric, and texture. She beautifully merges inspiration from the Harlem Renaissance using the leftover fragments of people who resemble her. In addition to this historical influence, Sadie channels the present-day concer

ns of the African American community. She tackles critical issues like racial inequality and social justice, offering a dynamic and unique call to action.

The show will run the full month of February at Eno Arts Mill, with an opening reception on February 2 from 6-9pm as a part of OCNArts’ First Fridays at the Mill, featuring live DJ MaxSunLove, as well as a food truck, kids activities, local beer/wine/NA options, and open artist studios. You can also view the show from 12-5pm, Tuesday - Saturdays, all February.

“Blackfuturism: a full color spectrum of blackness" is a group art show exclusively featuring local Black artists. From the show’s curator, “This exhibition will honor and showcase the generations of limitless creation, imagination, and artistry that Black artists have, and will always have." - TJ Mundy, the 2023 BIPOC Artist in Residence, Eno Arts Mill.

First Friday is celebrated on the first Friday of each month throughout Downtown Raleigh to showcase the best of our creative community.

I am thrilled to invite you to the Your Place at the Table IV: Growth National Exhibition at 311 Gallery from 6-9PM. I am particularly excited to share that I have contributed five pieces to this inspiring collection, each representing my unique interpretation of growth, prosperity, and resilience.
