I was born and raised in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Western Wyoming where I developed an immense love of nature and wildlife. Together with my husband we have been blessed to live in Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Kansas, Germany, and now Northwest Arkansas with our 4 children. Through all our travels, my love for the unique beauty that nature has to offer, in its various forms and in diverse locatio

ns, has only intensified. I've dedicated myself to finding the unscripted beauty in the world around us, no matter where I am. I believe in unscripted beauty and realistic natural art. What creative artistic licenses I take with my work is done in the camera with minimal altering or editing done in post processing. There is a unique beauty in the unscripted and unedited. I am here to share that with you.

Guess who came to visit?

I was minding my own business doing some macro work on some purple passionflowers in my yard today, when i was surprised with not one but TWO photo bombers!
That was a nice surprise! 😳

Camouflage level: expert. Can you spot it before it spots you?

I have had times where we walk right passed these babies and not even realize it until we turned around to walk past it again! Especially in our back “garden” when the grass grows a little tall.
Mama often leaves them behind while they go foraging for food and we essentially get to babysit them. 😍

They hold incredibly still. And don’t make a sound.
They definitely have the patience of a saint.

I’ve been incredibly blessed to live where we get to watch new baby deer grow up in our very backyard every single year. And I am often out there with my long telephoto lens trying to capture sweet moments like this one.
They are also why I have to grow all my flowers on my back deck! Because they eat EVERYTHING in my yard. 😂

I’m very behind in going through photos this year, I finally got around the finishing up these of this baby deer- which is mostly grown now.

I’m slowly working through my Navarre Beach photos and I absolutely adore ICM/abstract beach photography!

This is just a little preview from a phone camera capturing my computer screen because I don’t want to wait until I get around to converting it from my raw file.
Just a nice motion blur of the beach at sunset. 🌅

I love how ICM photography makes it feel so serene!

In The MIST ~

Would you ever think of making art out of kale? This one really was unique. It’s actually Frozen Purple Peacock Ornamental Kale foliage that was in a bouquet I got last autumn. I had never seen anything like it before. It looked like a tree to me. I knew I had to photograph it.
As each layer of ice formed the scene slowly took shape. I photographed it from all angles, and several different ice depths. But the story that kept returning was that of a mystical tree in a magical land on a foggy misty morning.
