What started as a passion for travel evolved into a desire to witness and capture places and events so beautiful only nature could conceive them. Now, my daily goal is to provide a momentary escape to a supportive community of nature & travel lovers through evocative landscape photography.

I was recently interviewed by Matt Hoffman - Newswatch 12 for a fun little segment on winter photography in our beautiful region. I think Matt did an incredible job, and I owe a lot to him as the person who first told me about the Neowise Comet! Big shout out to Steensland Photography as well who shot the drone footage in the intro and has some incredible work!

The StormWatch 12 weather team will get your ready for the winter season here in Southern Oregon and Northern California.

You've seen all the incredible things there are to do in the Galapagos for all ages, now you're probably wondering how much a trip like this costs! The good news is that it is totally up to you!

If you are a confident traveler and especially if you speak passable Spanish, you can organize a DIY trip to Galapagos on your own for very little money. We're talking $15-$20/ night, and $5 per meal! You can read all about options and cost in our new guide:
https://www.wedreamoftravel.com/galapagos-trip-cost/

Of course, most of you will probably want a bit more comfort and luxury than that! All-inclusive is the easiest route and still on-par with other cruises. Check out Inspiring Ecuador's upcoming November cruise here:

I've been posting a bunch of my favorite things to do and reasons to visit the Galapagos islands, so I figured it was time to go into the most important detail: how to actually plan a trip!

The easiest way is with a group tour! A large portion of our trip was with Inspiring Ecuador, who is currently running a promotion for their upcoming November Cruise / Land Tour. This is the best option for anyone that prioritizes comfort and ease.

See the cruise: https://www.tourradar.com/t/241959

For the DIY travelers amongst you, the Galapagos are a surprisingly affordable and mostly easy place to visit! You can find anything you need to know in our new guide:

Anyone who is thinking of visiting, please feel free to message me directly or comment any questions you may have.

And, for those who missed yesterday's post, we traveled there with Inspiring Ecuador. They have a hybrid cruise/tour featuring the highlights of Ecuador and Galapagos coming up this Thanksgiving! You can find the details here:

We've also published a blog post featuring tons more photos and all of the best things to do on the islands:

“Adam, where have you been?!”
Well, lots of places! But mostly Ecuador and the Galapagos islands!

The Galapagos were the literal #1 on our travel wish-list, but I thought you had to be rich or part of a research team to visit Galapagos.

Turns out anyone can go, and everyone who can SHOULD!

We were invited to visit by Inspiring Ecuador in exchange for photos and exposure in any blogs we wrote on the region. Mom, Sophie, and myself spent almost a month exploring and had the time of our lives.

I will be posting a lot more in the next few weeks, but these are some early favorites. Anyone interested in visiting themselves should have a look at Inspiring Ecuador's upcoming Thanksgiving Cruise & Tour, which will show guests some of the most incredible cultural and natural sights that Ecuador and the Galapagos islands have to offer!

The Galapagos animals have existed for thousands of years without predators, making them amongst the tamest wildlife you will ever encounter.

Anyone who has ever wanted to sit or swim with sea lions, marine iguanas, penguins, and dozens of other one-of-a-kind animals needs to have the Galapagos at the top of their bucket lists!

For those who have missed it, we've spent the past two weeks on a challenge from Travel Medford to showcase just how spectacular Southern Oregon is through nature photography.

Today’s collection is a mix of shots I have collected from my years of living here that demonstrate the grandeur of the Rogue Valley’s landscape and scenery.

If you’re local, I hope this will provide a little motivation to explore our beautiful backyard. If you’re not, I hope this past week has helped you to realize the beauty of the region and earned it a place on your travel list.

Most of the destinations in this gallery and from the past few days are located in the Rogue Valley surrounding Medford, and even the most distant destinations are no more than 2 hours away.

In case you missed it, we also have put together the complete guide on the Top 25 Best Things to Do in Southern Oregon to help you plan your visit, or even just your local travels:

I hope you have enjoyed this photo journey around my hometown and invite any questions you may have. I also hope you’ll share with anyone and everyone you think would be interested in visiting us!

For those just tuning in, we have been working on a project with Travel Medford over the past week wherein we showcase the incredible natural beauty of Southern Oregon.

Today we honor the most famous and probably the most beautiful natural feature in the region and the only designated National Park in the state of Oregon: Crater Lake NP.

All of the locals seeing this know the place well and have undoubtedly been here at least once or twice, but Crater Lake NP is actually one of the less-visited parks in the continental US. In fact, it’s visitor counts have been dropping over the past few years, which is shocking when you realize now just how stunning a place it is, but how much there is and see to do nearby!

You can reach Crater Lake on a day trip from Medford and even have time to see 3-4 waterfalls on the way, PLUS another one within the park that many don’t know about!

In my next post, I will bring you a collection of scenery, natural features, and beautiful locations within the Rogue Valley that explain visually what would take me 1000s of words to say; that Southern Oregon is truly a place of astounding beauty.

Thinking of visiting or want more inspiration? We also wrote a guide:

Next on our photographic tour of beautiful Southern Oregon is the most iconic and beloved natural feature in the Rogue Valley - the majestic Mt McLoughlin (or Mt Pitt as it was formerly known).

This natural pyramid stands proudly in the backdrop of most clear horizons in Medford & surrounding areas. The adventurous climb it, and the rest of us admire it as it changes from morning to night and from winter to summer.

Continuing with our project with Travel Medford to showcase the beauty of Southern Oregon, today’s gallery shows the many looks and lakes of Mt McLoughlin. Grab a kayak, paddle board, or just a camera and head to any one of several alpine pools for unbeatable views of a true work of art.

If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out our complete guide on the 25 best things to do in Southern Oregon!

Did you know there are nearly a dozen waterfalls that can all be reached on a day trip from Medford, with an additional reward of a spectacular hot spring at the end?!

Continuing on the “Discover Your Own Backyard” project we are working with my hometown tourism board on (Travel Medford), today I present to you a gallery of stunning waterfalls that are all located along a scenic drive east of Medford. About half of these are found on Hwy 62 on the way to Crater Lake National Park, and the other half are just beyond in Umpqua National Forest.

Scroll the gallery for photos and names of each. To make things easier, we also have an ultimate guide to the best Southern Oregon waterfalls complete with hiking distances, locations, and even a road trip route all laid out for you! You can find that at:
