Even the Eagles are hot, we saw 4 trying to cool down yesterday afternoon. Eagles stay cool by panting, spreading their wings to expose bare skin to the air, and seeking shade near water. Because they lack sweat glands, they release excess body heat through their respiratory system and un-feathered legs, or they may bathe and flutter their throat muscles to cool down.

These are not edited or shot in black and white. It was past dusk and Rose could not get enough light, the slight turn of the camera as the bird flew made the 2nd one a little lighter but I think they turned out pretty cool.
