Samantha Hayes Photography Hi! I'm Sam! Wife, mother, and photographer. I would love to capture your most important moments 📸

Sometimes I don’t shoot to deliver straight out of camera.
Sometimes I shoot for the edit I already see in my head.

That’s the art.

Somewhere along the way, clients started hearing about “raw files” and thought it meant the real work. For photographers, RAW usually means larger, unedited files — unfinished, unseasoned, not representative of the final vision.

And respectfully… that’s not my work.

You don’t go to a chef and ask for the ingredients.
You expect a cooked meal.
Plated. Intentional. Delicious.

My editing is part of the storytelling.
The color, the mood, the softness, the drama — that’s where the magic lives. That’s where I live.

So no, I don’t hand over raw ingredients.
I deliver the dish.
Now please…
let me cook. 🔥

Choosing forever—on Valentine’s Day 🤍
A weekend wrapped in intention, tenderness, and the kind of love that doesn’t need to prove itself. Just two people, deeply sure, stepping into marriage on a day that already believes in romance.
This one feels timeless.
Quietly powerful.
Full of meaning.
Honored to witness it all.

Tried this cutie little trend because Chad is basically my coworker 🤣

Prompt: create a caricature based on everything you know about me.

Some people have had to use "create a caricature" then self description.

I would love to see yours.

I love what I do—but there is something deeply affirming about being invited into meaningful seasons of life by fellow creatives I admire.
When trusted me to document her daughter’s wedding season, I was truly honored. Being welcomed into moments like these—where love, legacy, and real life collide—is never something I take lightly.
I photograph wedding seasons the way they’re actually felt—unposed, a little chaotic, deeply emotional, and beautifully human. The glances, the laughter, the quiet in-between moments you didn’t even realize mattered until later. If you’re planning your wedding in Austin and want imagery that feels honest, artful, and alive, I’d love to connect.

Now booking weddings and full wedding season coverage in Austin, Texas.

I’ve been sitting with something one of my best friends said to me recently:

“It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to become a habit.”

And whew… that one landed.

I’m the kind of person who waits for the right moment.
The right headspace.
The right plan.
All my ducks in a perfectly aesthetic row before I try something new.

And while that level of intention can be beautiful… sometimes—especially in the social media space—it becomes the very thing that keeps me frozen. Waiting. Overthinking. Doing nothing at all.

I think I’m finally realizing why it hasn’t worked for me before.
I’ve been trying to separate me the person from me the artist.
As if they were two different things.
As if I needed to show up as one but hide the other... truth is… they aren’t different.

They never have been.

Being a homeschooling mother to a toddler;
AuDHD;
Surviving cancer;
Being a wife;
A wellness enthusiast;
A Jesus lover;
An ally;
A Kindle girl;
A nostalgic anxious millennial...

That is what makes me an artist.
That lived experience is the lens I see through.
It’s the reason I create the way I do, notice what I notice, feel what I feel.

So this is me showing up anyway.
Without everything figured out.
Without the perfect words or timing.
Without trying to compartmentalize who I am.
This is me choosing progress over perfection.
Consistency over comfort.
Habit over hesitation.
I’m trying.
Imperfectly.
As myself.
And that finally feels like the point. 🤍

HR is the backbone of every good brand — the people, the systems, the heart behind the scenes. Just like photography tells a brand’s story visually, HR shapes the story internally and sets the tone for growth.

On November 3rd, brought Wylder Scott earthside — and the world stood still for just a moment. ✨

Every time I witness birth, I’m reminded that there is nothing more powerful, more instinctual, or more divine than a woman bringing life into the world. The strength. The surrender. The quiet storm of it all. It’s pure awe.

We often enter birth with a vision of how it will unfold — but our children have their own plans. Whether you are a home birth mama, a cesarean mama, or a hospital birth mama — you have done something extraordinary. You have crowned a new soul.

It’s never lost on me what a privilege it is to be invited into that sacred space. 🌙
If you want your birth story told in all its raw, breathtaking beauty — DM me to capture your first hello. 🤍
