Burnt orange complements so many different skin tones and blends beautifully with fall foliage, while red can compete with your surroundings and pull focus from your family. You’ll notice the red attire before the people. Trust me on this one: burnt orange is the fall color that photographs like a dream every single time. 🍂

Three sessions. One year. A whole lot of love. ❤️
I met Piper for Santa pictures last year. Then Mommy & Me. And now, her first birthday cake smash, icing everywhere and that gorgeous gummy smile in full force.
What makes this one hit different: Piper’s adoption is about to be finalized. Her momma is about to be her momma, officially and forever. I got to document a birthday and a becoming, all in one session.
This is why I love this job. 🎂

Racquel Cowen Photography is looking for a male senior for a portfolio-building session this May! Whether he's class of 2026 or getting a head start on 2027, I would love to capture this milestone for him.

Here's what's included:

A relaxed, fun senior portrait session in Elk Grove
3 beautifully retouched digital images as a thank you for participating

A couple of things to know before reaching out: since these images will be used for my portfolio and marketing, you must be comfortable with them being shared publicly.

Racquel Cowen Photography is looking for a newborn for an in-home studio session right here in Elk Grove! I have some new swaddles and techniques I want to try, and I would much rather practice on your little one than a doll! lol
