Spring-like weather in the Northern California Sierra foothills is incredible. We filmed some mountain biking sequences at Cronan Ranch and the views there never disappoint. My favorite time of year there is right now when the rolling hills are carpeted with green grass that glistens in the sun as the morning frost gives way to a sparkling dew. It never gets old.

We have been connecting with businesses in Folsom’s Historic District lately and the thing I keep realizing is just how perfectly each owner is cut out for the business they run. This is Krissy, owner of Pixie Spirit Boutique at the corner of Sutter and Riley and these are a few frame grabs from a short promotional video we are making for her shop. If you have young kids, give them a follow

When my family goes out to eat, one of the most important things we consider is whether or not it was made with love. Did someone put that extra level of care into what was prepared for us? That notion is the precept for this video. In the historic district, we do what we do with LOVE! This is the second in a series of promotional videos we are producing for the Folsom Historic District. We are loving the opportunity to connect with so many local business owners. If you are local, get down to the Sutter Street area and check out the shops and eateries and experience the love these merchants have for their products, services, customers and the city of Folsom. Many thanks to and the district for the opportunity to help attract people to the jewel of the city.

Here's a little promo we did for the Folsom Historic District. A few more of these little 30 second spots are in the works. If you didn't know, we are strong believers in local business and we have loved connecting with the business owners in the Historic District. Buy local first.

Super huge thanks to Reset Folsom and Folsom Eats for partnering with us on these. www.historicfolsom.org

Got a day pass to Yosemite. In addition to the obligatory photos of Half Dome and El Capitan, I was impelled to make some frames of the devastation left by the Rim Fire of 2013. @ Yosemite National Park

Seen in Round Top, TX. Willie Poster hanging in Royer’s and needed a pic of it. Walking around town, couldn’t help but make a few frames of the old timey chapel. All three images: Hasselblad 503CW, Kodak Portra 400, developed in Cinestill and scanned with 5D Mark IV. —- @ Round Top, Texas
