The lupines looked completely different this year. Chasing the golden hour into blue light with the water level higher this year was magical. Big shout out to for always being available to be my muse when I’m impulsive. This was the end of April, I’d just gotten off work and was afraid it was going to be the last weekend to catch the lupines this year. Of course we were wrong because people continued to go late into may and saw flowers. Non the less we got these amazing photos in the spur of the moment.

This tea ceremony, although I couldn’t understand all the words being exchanged the big emotions were felt to my core. The beautiful thing about weddings that I appreciate is being a witness to all the relational ties and human connections each partner has built. That’s what I love most about being a photographer. I get into rooms filled with emotion and intimacy that normally I wouldn’t get to experience as a guest or bystander.
