I photographed her older sister's senior session a few years ago, so getting to photograph this sweet girl for her own senior session felt like such a full-circle moment.

We met at one of my favorite spring locations, and between the blooming flowers, golden evening light, and her incredible outfit choices, everything came together perfectly. Senior year is such an exciting season, and I love creating images that celebrate who my seniors are right now before the next chapter begins.

Class of 2027, your season is here. 🎓

I photographed her older sister’s senior session a few years ago, so getting to capture this next chapter for their family meant so much. With the most beautiful spring blooms and the cutest outfits, this Sacramento senior session was an absolute dream.

One of the questions I get asked most often is when to schedule maternity photos.

For most moms, the sweet spot is between 28 and 32 weeks. Your bump is beautifully round, but you're usually still comfortable enough to enjoy your session.

And if you're feeling nervous about being in front of the camera, you're not alone. Almost every mom tells me that before their session. I'll guide you through the entire experience so you never have to wonder what to do.

Class of 2027, this is your sign to start planning your senior session.

Summer before senior year is one of the most popular times to schedule because everything feels a little less hectic before school, sports, and college applications take over.

Whether you're dreaming of a lavender farm, a lake, downtown, or something completely unique, we'll create a session that feels like you.

Now booking Class of 2027 seniors.

Macro Monday 🤍

One tiny detail. Two completely different feels.

I photographed this sweet baby's eyelashes in both color and black and white, and now I can't decide which version I love more.

The color version feels soft and true to life.
The black and white version lets you focus on every tiny detail.

So tell me... which one gets your vote?

Color or black and white? 👇

Graduation may be over, but senior photos don't have to be.

This beautiful session is proof that golden hour and a little confidence are a pretty perfect combination. ✨

One thing I hear every year is, "I missed my chance for senior photos."

You didn't.

Whether graduation has already happened or is right around the corner, it's never too late to celebrate this season of life. Senior sessions are about more than announcements. They're about capturing who you are right now before everything changes.

I currently have just a few openings left in June and July for Class of 2026 seniors. If you've been thinking about booking, now is the time.

And can we take a moment for that pink hair? 😍

This is one of my favorite images I've ever taken of these two. 🤍

Last year they were sick and missed the iris bloom season completely. At the time, it felt like such a disappointment, especially since the blooms only last for a short time each year.

But honestly? I think everything worked out exactly the way it was supposed to.

The light was perfect, the farm was beautiful, and this moment between a mother and daughter is everything. Sometimes the sessions we have to wait for end up being the ones we treasure most.

I'm so grateful I got to capture this memory for one of my favorite families.

I've been spending a lot of long days behind my computer lately working through galleries and getting everyone's images back as quickly as possible. Seeing these sessions come together is always worth it. 🤍

If you've been thinking about booking a session, now is a great time. I have a few openings left this summer for seniors, families, and maternity before fall starts filling up.

Just because your baby is past the newborn stage doesn’t mean we can’t still create something beautiful 🤍

This sweet girl was around 3 months old for her in-home session, and her family wanted soft images that still felt similar to a newborn session. We kept everything slow, relaxed, and baby-led using natural light throughout their home.

One thing I always remind parents is that every baby is different at this age. Some love being wrapped, some need extra cuddles and breaks, and some want to stay wide awake the entire time. We simply follow baby’s lead and create around them.

I’m still obsessed with all her tiny details and the sweetest family moments we captured during this session. It’s never “too late” to document this season 🤍

Sometimes the magic is in the editing 🤍

This location was packed. Prom crowds, people walking behind them constantly, and a parking lot directly behind this spot. Once the sun hid behind the clouds, those distractions became much more noticeable.
Most images don’t need this much cleanup, but occasionally they do, and it’s always worth it for moments like these.

I also wanted to share a little reminder that while Photoshop is an amazing tool, not everything can or should be fixed digitally. Most of my editing focuses on things outside of our control like background distractions, temporary blemishes, random people, etc.

But things like wrinkled clothing, phones in pockets, grown out roots, chipped nails are much harder or sometimes impossible to fully correct naturally. I always recommend prepping outfits ahead of time, ironing clothing, removing phones before the session, and scheduling hair/nail appointments beforehand if those details matter to you 🤍

And yes, if you wake up with a giant pimple the morning of your session, I’ve got you 😅

A little preview from this beautiful session 🤍

I also wanted to give a small business update and thank everyone for their patience lately. Right now I have around 12 sessions waiting in my editing queue, and I’m working hard every day to get everyone’s galleries finished and delivered as quickly as possible. So far, all galleries have still been delivered earlier than the turnaround time originally quoted, and I truly appreciate everyone being so understanding while I work through them.
