3 years married to you ❤️ You are my partner, my best friend, my protector, my everything. Today we are back in Costa Rica with our kids and spent the morning zip lining with these 4 little adrenaline junkies. Another 10 year anniversary family shoot - Ellen and Quinn 🥰 What’s extra cool about this is that we did their family shoot AT their wedding venue! It was so cute to watch their three kiddos explore all of the places where we took photos in 2014. The second to last photo is their oldest looking at their wedding book ❤️

2014 for a pretty formative year for me in my wedding photography career. I was living in Seattle but traveling constantly for weddings all over the west coast. Tori and Zack left such an impression on me and we have remained in touch (and friends) ever since. It has been 10 years since their wedding and they are now parents to two beautiful little boys. We still don’t live close but it’s such a joy when we can make our schedules work for family photos 🥰 Last photo is a throwback to their STUNNING Lake Tahoe wedding back in 2014

Cabo for 39 has been a dream. Tomorrow is my official birthday but the absolute joy and love I’ve felt over the past few days has made this one of the best birthdays of my life. Thank you for planning everything and for being here with us- we love doing life with you guys. Next year is 40 and I am beyond excited ♌️ 🦁 ☀️

Not your normal content but here it goes: I was just reading about The Still Face Experiment (thanks, TikTok) and immediately thought of this photo that I have framed in my home. I won’t even try to adequately summarize the research, but it’s the effect of a mother’s expression on the baby/child.

I am the little brunette girl in the middle with the bangs, my mom is obviously the lady on the left. Look at her face. Look at mine. Look at the blonde girl (a stranger!) who is also positively impacted by my mom and her love for me. It makes me cry. I am so lucky to have not have had a “still faced mom”, but a mom whose love shines this brightly. I know how lucky I am, and I truly hope that I am this kind of mom to my kids. If I am, all credit goes to my own parents for setting the best example.

Also, a moment of appreciation for my late dad who saw this moment, recognized this moment, and took the photo. I found it only recently, and it’s one of my most cherished possessions.
