Every now and then, the photographer becomes the sentimental mom behind the lens. I’ve done photoshoots with my kids in the past but this one felt so different 😭

This session with my son reminded me why photographs matter so much. They freeze the moments we wish we could hold onto just a little longer. I feel like he looks so big now but I know even in a year I will wish he was this small again 🥹

Here’s to becoming a baseball mom 🥲⚾️❤️

Every time I do a session for someone moving on to a huge new chapter in their life, I feel so honored ❤️ There’s something especially bittersweet about senior sessions because they capture someone right in the middle of becoming who they’re meant to be, closing a chapter they’ve known for years and stepping into something completely new.

One of my favorite things about photography is that the best moments usually happen in between the poses: fixing a sleeve, looking off for a second, laughing after a missed shot, tying a shoe before walking to the next spot. Those candid moments always remind me that you don’t have to be perfectly posed to look confident, genuine, or memorable. Sometimes the ordinary moments remind us that we don’t need to have everything perfectly together to still feel good ✨

What’s that saying??

“Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”

It does, and refines you in every way. I’ve had some time since doing my last beach session and man… what a first session back.

A little time away, and I’ve come back seeing everything differently. I’m creating work that feels more aligned, more intentional, and some of my favorite yet ✨

Sharing this as we head into Mother’s Day feels exactly right. Maternity shoots are my absolute favorite because entering motherhood is the scariest, most beautiful moments of life. ❤️

I always tell my clients that I want their photoshoots to feel genuine and I want the photos to reflect their love in the purest and natural way. Doing engagement sessions is so special because it’s such a huge milestone that brings so many changes. This chapter feels like a deep breath before everything changes in the best and most beautiful way. The laughter, the way they look at each other, the quiet certainty — it all carries the weight of what’s to come. A love preparing for forever is something truly special. ❤️✨

This was seriously such a fun photoshoot Celebrating milestones and magical moments ✨ A beautiful 3rd birthday mommy & me session filled with love, giggles, and connection. This shoot was a long time coming and I’m so so happy we finally got to do it ❤️ photoshoots with 3 year olds really are always full of surprises 🤣
