Thanks, Mike! It was great to be able to grab this cool photo :)

Shortly after we (Mike and Sam) took over as the new owners of Bravo in April of '21, our friend Ryan from 87 Lumens came to our shop with a 100+ year old large format box camera to take our portrait.

If you've never seen a large format box camera, think of those old timey movies where a guy has to put a sheet over his head to take the picture. That what was used here. This image was actually taken on a glass plate, it's really quite the process, and yields a timeless image not known for it's sharpness, but for its vintage vibe.

Probably one of the most unique photo experiences we've ever had, hopefully we'll do another one in the future...

📸 It's kind of funny, the first time I looked for the camera emoji I was trying to find it under the "Activities" section only to be bit saddened that it was under the bleakly titled "Objects" section. To me, a camera represents photography, the act of going out and discovering photos. I do understand why they categorized it where they did, but every time I go to use it, it still pains me a bit to click on "Objects" to get to it.

Brainstorming with Brianne and Craig about the outstanding St. Joseph community and ways to complement it with exceptional new restaurants and a large tap wall. Impressively, they have secured both Pepsi and Coke products in a single location! 🤯 The House is expected to open its doors by early March. I am excited to collaborate on designing captivating promotional materials. 📷🎥🎉

So, I was eating at the Copper Kitchen after work when Mike Thienes called me and asked if I could shoot a video for a music group at Rockhouse Productions in St. Joe. I said yes and asked when. It needed to be shot ASAP and they didn't have too much time. So I flew home and packed up all of my gear that I could, some with only 1/4 charged batteries and headed out to St. Joe, not truly knowing who or what I would be shooting. It turns out it was this astounding theatrical musical group from the UK, The Barricade Boys! They only had a limited time, but I was able to put something fun together for them in only a couple hours time. We recorded "Defying Gravity" from Wicked and of course stopped at The Middy afterwards for a refreshment. So thankful for all of the fun projects I was asked to do this year! Can't wait for the next one!
