PHEW, what a couple of weeks!

Before anything else, I want to start with a huge THANK YOU to everyone who looked out for me over these last two weekends. Whether you checked on me, helped with one of my dogs, sprayed me down with sunscreen, brought me water or snacks, or just made sure I was surviving out there, I noticed and I appreciate it more than you know. ❤️

I had the opportunity to photograph the NADD Southwest Regionals and then turn around and spend the following weekend shooting at the Red Canyon event. It has been a whirlwind of dogs, docks, good memories, Southern Utah heat, monsoon weather, and a WHOLE lot of photos.

And now comes the part you don’t see: all of the hours behind the computer after the event is over.

There are thousands of images to back up, sort through, organize, edit, upload, and turn into galleries before you ever see that exciting “THE GALLERY IS LIVE!” post. I absolutely love doing this, but event photography is definitely more than the long days spent standing beside the dock with a camera. There’s a whole lot of work that happens once I get home, too!

And that’s where I am now. Officially in editing mode!

📅 WHEN WILL THE GALLERIES BE READY?

I expect both galleries to be rolling out over the next week or two. I’m working my way through a LOT of images from both weekends, so thank you for being patient with me while I get through everything!

📣 HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN THEY’RE LIVE?

I promise, you’ll know! I’ll post here on Petal Down as soon as each gallery is ready.

I’ll also share the gallery announcements to the Mountain West Mobile Dock and Red Canyons Kennel Club pages.

📸 HOW DO I GET MY PHOTOS?

Once the galleries are live, you’ll be able to browse your dog’s photos and select your favorites.

If you pre-ordered Regionals coverage, you’ll be able to choose the images included with your package and purchase any additional favorites you’d like.

Didn’t pre-order? No worries! You’ll still be able to browse the gallery and purchase the photos you want.

I do all of this alongside a full-time job and keeping up with my own very active dogs, so I really do appreciate the patience, kindness, and excitement you all have shown me. It makes those long days at the dock and the hours at the computer afterward worth it.

🎥 LAST-MINUTE HYPE VIDEO MODEL WANTED — RED CANYON

I want to try out a new video offering at Red Canyon this weekend, and I’m looking for ONE dog!

I’ll capture clips throughout the weekend and turn them into a 30–45 second hype video of your dog doing their thing on the dock — shot and edited specifically with Reels/TikTok/social media in mind.

If you’re active on social media and love sharing your dog’s adventures or you’re heading to NADD Nationals in October, this is especially for you! You’ll get to help choose the vibe and audio available through the social platform, and I’ll shoot and edit the footage with the final video in mind.

For this one, I’m looking for a dog who:
• Will be competing multiple days
• Has AT LEAST 5 splashes throughout the weekend
• Ideally competes in 2+ disciplines, although I’d consider Distance-only
• Is a confident jumper who reliably goes off the dock

$60 — ONE spot available.

You’ll receive a finished 30–45 second vertical video ready to share on your socials.

One thing to keep in mind: when I’m filming your dog during a splash, I’m shooting video instead of photos, so you won’t have still photos from me for those particular splashes.

I have an idea in my head and need one fun team to help me bring it to life!

Wow — what a weekend! I know you’re all excited to see your photos from Regionals, so here’s a quick update on what happens next!

First, I’ve got a LOT of photos to get off my memory cards, backed up, organized, and lightly edited before I can get the gallery online. It takes a little time, but I promise they’re coming!

In the meantime, keep an eye on Petal Down here on Facebook and over on Instagram. I’ll be sharing sneak peeks and gallery updates as I work my way through everything. And if you have dock diving friends who aren’t following me yet, send them my way so they don’t miss anything!

Once the gallery is live, you’ll be able to browse through the photos and select the ones you want. **The gallery is a proofing gallery, so images will have a light edit rather than their final polish.** This gives you a chance to choose your favorites before I complete the detailed finishing work on your selections.

Once you’ve made your picks, I’ll give those photos their final polish and send the finished images straight to your email.

**How will you know when the gallery is ready?** I’ll post about it here and share it on the NADD Mountain West Mobile Dock page, so you won’t miss it!

For now, I’m getting everything organized and can’t wait to start sharing some of my favorites from the weekend!
