Last weekends shows were Suesstastic! There are only a few opportunities left to get in on the fun;

Friday, February 7th, at 7:00pm
Saturday, February 8th, at 2:00pm (Sensory friendly show!!)

The sensory friendly show is great for anyone who may get overstimulated with regular lights and sounds from a musical, or maybe someone who has a medical condition that could be affected by flashing lights. Personally, I think theater should be accessible to everyone, and I think Open Door Community Theatre is doing an amazing job at working towards that. There will always be new ways to help as many people as possible enjoy theater, but Open Door has definitely put in a lot of thought on how to start being more accessible. They are awesome!

There is a fantastic production of Suessical coming up in Woodbury this weekend and next!

I was able to take some photos of rehearsal on Monday and even worked on my partner’s costume, which was so cool 🤩

It’s so intriguing how the timing of life works. I stayed for rehearsal early last week after doing a fitting for my partners costume, and it just so happened that I saw the cast rehearse a song that just perfectly aligned with where I’m at in life right now.

I think anyone who sees this show will be able to connect with it on a strangely profound level, if you can let yourself move past the quirkiness of it.

Ugh, I’m super sick. I went an awesome event on Saturday that I probably should not have. I had a dry throat but took a Covid test and it was negative, so I went. Turns out I do have Covid 🙃 My health went downhill real fast and I’m still in the thick of it. But here’s a couple photos from the event on Saturday to (sort of, but not really) make up for it! There will be more photos coming soon, I just have to get better first and sort out my priorities while I catch up on life.

If you don’t know much about me; here’s a tidbit!

I live in Minnesota and am very passionate about environmental issues. I went to the State Capitol today to attend a press conference about a bill that bans the production of products containing chemicals that have polluted Minnesota’s water for decades.

Here is a photo of lil me, in the rotunda of the State Capitol. I snapped it quickly on my phone, and if you notice the lanyard looks odd, it’s because it has a brand on it that is not associated with my views and I’m hoping to avoid drama with that 😅

Here’s my thought for the day; fight for the things that matter to you, even if you’re “just an average person,” that’s exactly what is needed.
