Thank you Aundre Larrow for capturing a part of me I’m not used to seeing. It was a pleasure and honor to be included in the To Write Love On Her Arms. portrait series.

I was a little caught off guard when I was asked to be in front of, not behind, the camera. The tagline this year is “Another Day With You” and it feels like for me those words are important to speak to a mirror. I realized that I forget myself quite a bit. This past year has been about finding myself again and really appreciating her and how much she’s overcome. I actually really do love her and see her beauty inside and out. It took a longtime. A lot of changing my thought process. A lot of giving grace and understanding things needed time to unlearn. Accepting the imperfections and reminding me that I am human. If those that love me fully accept me, than why shouldn’t I accept me?

I’m still a work-in-progress but I think that’s a good thing. I always want to be a work-in-progress but it means I’m always growing, learning, shifting, opening my mind to new things. So when I wake up and look in the mirror, I can happily say that I look forward to having another day with you

the fact that better days are really ahead. I’m living for days that just feel really, really good, so good that I’m shocked but still so grateful.

Today was a good day. I saw the most I’ve seen of my team since March (only ~16 people) at our warehouse. It was so nice to be around them again because they really have become family. I’ve been at TWLOHA nearing 2 years January. I am living for being able to work for an iniative I truly believe in and the difference I get to make in people’s lives because of it. ***dePrevention
