Here we are. June. The month that includes the longest day and the shortest night known as the summer solstice. Astronomically, Sunday, June 21, 2026, is the official first day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. However, if you are speaking meteorologically, the first day of summer begins June 1st and ends August 31st. :) Now you know..... we can begin celebrating summer today!
The color palette of summer is erupting quickly and there is so much more to come. All those plants grown from seed this spring are finding the freedom to grow now that their roots are diving deep into the sun warmed soil.
It's a wonderful time to enjoy picnics, take walks on the beaches, watch the gardens grow, and catch fish from the boat.
Don't waste time in the house. Get out there and suck up the sun. Enjoy the beautiful and colorful moments of summer.
