Rooted Project // SAHM Courtney

🌿1. What does being β€œrooted” mean to you in this season of your life?

For me, being rooted means finding a steady peace within my own walls that the chaos of the world cannot touch.

🌿2. What keeps you grounded when life or business feels overwhelming?

Beyond the mundane daily tasks lies a greater purpose: shaping the people my children will grow to be, and allowing them to see Lord work through me. This calling grounds me, reminding me to slow down and build a foundation of depth.

🌿3. Who or what helped shape the woman you are today?

My mom. 🩷 No matter what’s been going on in my life she’s been the reassurance to let me know I wasn’t doing it alone, and the steady guidance to the Lord when things seem to heavy.

🌿4. What is something people see on the outside… but might not realize about your journey?

Everyone has a sad story; you can let yours hold you back or use it as fuel. While the hand I was dealt wasn't always fair, I’ve used every challenge to push past expectations.

🌿5. What are you hoping to grow next β€” in your life, your family, or your work?

My goal is to not just be passing through these seasons; I’m soaking them in. I want my kids to see that trials aren't meant to be outrunβ€”they are the ground where we grow our deepest roots. That loving the Lord and being light is the greatest calling.

THANK YOU. My goal for 2026 is 1k, so we’re only 300 away!
Update for the Rooted Project: I’m so glad to have launched this project this month! That being said - I have a lot of interest & limited availability due to some reschedules in March, so I will be EXTENDING this project for the whole year! πŸ₯Ή my goal is to have as many done as I can by the end of the month, but thankfully there is more time, and this gives me opportunity to capture more of Salem as the year goes on with less pressure.

Rooted Project // SAHM Taylor
🌿1. What does being β€œrooted” mean to you in this season of your life?

This season is full and also new at every turn. As soon as I think I have something figured out, life or circumstances shift, maybe a fussy toddler, maybe a vehicle on the fritz.
Staying rooted in Christ is my hope.
His word says that if we delight in his word and meditate on it we will be like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit no matter the season. Leaves never withering, but prospering.
Being rooted in this season means never forgetting my complete need for the Lord.

🌿2. What keeps you grounded when life or business feels overwhelming?

My husband. My son. My church body. But as these things can be grounding, sometimes they can be the source of feeling unease too.
The most firm foundation: Christ. Christ, and the work He finished on the cross. He is my hope and security when I feel anything but grounded.

🌿3. Who or what helped shape the woman you are today?

I think of all my moms.
My mom and her push to always give me what i needed. We never went without. She cared and loved without limits.
My stepmom and her drive and work ethic. Teaching me to be strong in a world that wants to break you.
My nurse moms have fostered my learning and my growth as a person and nurse. We watched new life enter the world together. And we stood shoulder to shoulder as we watched life leave the world too early.
My spiritual mothers as they pour truth over me, holding me accountable, encouraging, and guiding me.

🌿4. What is something people see on the outside… but might not realize about your journey?

Culture and society are hard on women. There is literally a timeline to everything.
College. Career. Marriage. Children.
People may see me as a woman that laid down an epic career and the world in her palm.
But I see a woman that only wants what God has for me.
Of course I have desires for myself, but it’s not about me.
Jesus said pick up your cross and follow me.
All I want in this life is to give my son and future children a firm foundation of the gospel. I want them to know and love Jesus. If stewarding them best means doing something that looks unconventional, so be it.
It doesn’t have to be easy. Jesus promised it wouldn’t be easy.

🌿5. What are you hoping to grow next β€” in your life, your family, or your work?

I hope to grow our family.
I hope to grow closer to Christ.
I hope to build and leave a legacy of following God to our children.
One that as they grow they will lean on and build their own relationship with God.
I truly believe we are in an era of raising warriors for the kingdom of heaven.
I hope to do my part well, however it is asked of me.

Starting March & Women’s History Month off strong with a glimpse into our stay-at-home moms 🀍

A stay-at-home mother is the steady heartbeat of her home and the quiet strength of her community. She wakes each morning with the rhythm of the day already forming in her mind - meals to cook, laundry to fold, a home to tidy, lessons to teach, little hearts to shepherd. On a good day, she may check off half the list. On most days, it bends to spilled milk, short naps, and sacred interruptions. But steadily she learns that what once felt like interruptions are, in fact, the very purpose of her day.

This calling is not a typical 9-5. It begins before her feet touch the floor and stretches long past bedtime prayers.
Seeking quiet moments with the Lord in the chaos.
Cooking and preparing meals.
Wiping tears and messy faces.
Changing diapers and spit-up covered shirts.
Reading favorite books.
Completing indoor and outdoor chores.
Guiding attitudes.
Shaping character.
Stewarding a home with a firm foundation.
And so much more. Her tasks are both ordinary AND holy.

It is exhausting and sacred all at once, shaping lives that will shape the world. This is the quiet, steadfast work of motherhood. Unseen by many, known by God, and lasting in its impact.
