It’s a deer. I kept having 2 deer 🦌 walk around the tower area feeding most of the night as I ran around the mountain top shooting photos. I was hoping the deer would have stayed still long enough for the camera to capture her. It paid off.

I got to capture some July Milky Way. This year has been a little busier than past years, and time to get out and not sleep hasn’t happened as much. These shots are from my birthday weekend camp trip with the boys. I only had one clear night to shoot a cloudless night sky. Night 2 clouds rolled in and covered most of the sky all night long. But it did open up and show the Milky Way. I have a time lapse of it I’ll share hopefully soon. Gotta get caught up with clients work first. Always time to shoot, never enough time to edit. lol

I use to have this CD. Not sure if I still do. Haha. Classic 90s.

Sunday night when I arrived to camp, Wes Stokes was already set up with his camera shooting photos. His first words “grab your camera. There is a lightning storm.” Before I could even put my truck in park I had my camera and tripod ready. After finding my composition, getting the stars in focus and dial in my settings, I was able to enjoy the show. The storm was drifting towards us and to the south. It ended up dying out before it reached us. Probably a good thing. Here are 2 different photos framed up differently.
