Getting up close and showing the connection two people have is one of my favorite things to photograph. I adore wide scenic shots, where the landscape is incredible and the people are a small part of the story. But there’s just something special about a traditional close up crop. Because YOU are the story. The way you smile, the soft embrace, and the way you look into each other’s eyes.

It doesn’t matter how many times I tell people to snuggle in close and wrap them in your arms, I’ll always see a uniquely beautiful moment. The prompt might be the same, but the people aren’t, and the way they love each other is special.

Your photos won’t ever look like someone else’s, and I don’t want them to. I want your gallery to be filled with YOU and the life story you are making together 💛

When the party starts and the lights come out, you get to let loose and celebrate with all your favorite people. Your wedding should be a day filled with fun, excitement, and love, from getting ready to “I do” to the send off at the end of the night.

The traditional photos are beautiful, but my favorite? It’s the ones where he’s squeezing you in tight, where you can’t stop laughing together, and the excitement and joy that sneaks out in between shutter clicks.

K+M celebrated their engagement by taking photos a year to the day before their wedding date and just a few short minutes down the road from where they’ll get married in Park City. When they reached out to me about their engagements, they wanted something that would celebrate their destination wedding next year, but bring out how much they care for each other. We mixed tradition with creativity and took a chance on what had been a rainy day in Park City up until that evening. And it couldn’t have come out better 💛

There’s just something special about a portrait on film. The way you never know exactly how it will turn out.
The slight imperfections that mirror who we are.
Film isn’t about unattainable goals, it’s a glimpse into what’s real. And in a world where everything around us can seem superficial and artificial, finding something without the lies is refreshing.

I want every bride I photograph to know that you are enough. You are so incredibly beautiful the way you are and I’m just here to show you yourself in a way you’ve never seen before 💛 where you can’t believe it’s you, but at the same time have never felt more seen for who you are.

Creating a mood board for my clients to help them envision what’s possible is one of my favorite ways to serve my couples. When you can see the vision, you become more confident and excited for your photos!

As a creative at heart, I grew up always “seeing the vision” whether it was decorating my room or my fashion choices I always knew it would come together. I remember so many times having family members look at me and go “are you sure this will look good?” And then after everything had been completed and put together they would always tell it came out so much better than they could have imagined.

It’s my super power, to see the possibilities and make them reality. And it’s SO MUCH FUN to do that for you. I offer photoshoot design to all my couples now! I’ll create custom mood boards for you to see to decide which vision feels the most like you and your story 💛 because your session deserves so much more attention than just in the edits afterward.

Ceremonies like this leave me feeling like I’m on cloud nine 😉

Looking down from the top of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will always leave me giddy with excitement. The expanse of blue sky, towering cliffs, and the valley far below create a magical atmosphere for a wedding.

Loved getting to shoot side by side with Jackson Hole Wedding Photographer for this gorgeous day! Would you believe me if I said it started to rain and storm during the reception? Buck luckily that part of the night was inside!

Dinner details on 35mm film and digital 💛

A unique fact not many know about me is that I collect dinnerware and I LOVE to host. Photographing table scapes like these just bring an immense sense of joy and inspiration to me.

My favorite details of this wedding? Of course the butter yellow (one of my all time favorite colors) but also the texture and pattern on the table cloths. The twisting serpentine tables and the ivy chandeliers. Plus if you look closely at the plates you’ll notice they have a beautifully subtle pattern.

I know you designed with intention and excitement, and I promise that’s how I’ll photograph your day too 🥹

The Petit Palais in Paris 💛

Something incredible happens when things you’ve dreamed of for years and planned with all your desires, wishes, and hopes comes to life.

I can’t believe these are my photos. That I created something that feels like it was plucked right out of my imagination. Every detail of this shoot is part of my heart and soul. From the location and fashion down to the earrings and lighting.

Nothing came together by accident, in fact I had to work and replan and adjust so many times to make sure it turned out the way you see it in these photos. The effortless elegance that these photos portray leave me gazing at them for hours.

And this is just the beginning. Amanda Shupe Photography is only growing from here. And I can’t wait to show you all the incredible visions I still have in my mind.
