Hiiii, I’m Wendy :) I’m a somewhat nomadic American global citizen on her way to Porto, Portugal to live, serve, and hopefully create art. Come along for raw and real photography that captures the human essence and edits with human love & care. And also (hopefully) rediscovering my love for film & slow art in a world that moves so fast.

Can you feel the difference?! I can.

Michelle & Marvin get married on Sunday and I’m overjoyed to get to capture their love and joy. It wouldn’t be the same without the nostalgic, grounded feel of Fujifilm.

In a world teeming with AI and automation, I feel myself drawn all the more to the raw and real. It is all the important to honor moments in their gorgeous imperfections, the grit of the landscape, the freckle on someone’s nose. Where along the way did we lose the art of beholding and seeing these in between moments as sacred? Bring it back!

Me: 🥺🎉🤳📸🤧

This is your reminder that you can romanticize anything and make it into a cute photo op, if you want to! We had to go get paperwork and get remarried in the States for our visas to Portugal. We still have our little courthouse ceremony to attend, so stay tuned for that ;)

Instead of focusing on the (very real) hassle of going downtown and knocking things off our to-do list, we made an event out of it, and brought along to snap some pictures of our family is this weird and wild season.

Now we have some mems of the day we all braved downtown Cleveland parking and did some paperwork to propel us into our next chapter of life! And Nina’s obsession with *princess dresses* and sequins 🫰

The one where they get married again!

First time in Turkey 🇹🇷
Second time in the USA 🇺🇸
Because we’re on our way to Portugal 🇵🇹

Turns out bureaucracy is pretty complicated but love is forever. And despite the wild days of caring for children, doing art, prepping to move, and building up for a life of ministry, we love each other even more than we did six years ago.

So much love for the life we build together and the village that has held us. Love you!
