i took a stroll through this little shore-front town. being so far north makes a big difference in the amount of daylight between the summer and winter months. summer days are super long, up to 18 hours, and winter days are very short, down to 6 hours at times. so during this time of year, the sun seems to rush across the sky

these are the few i believed were of quality from my first star shoot.

these are the first star photos i took. it was on a whim while driving back into town on Hwy2. i remember looking up and the sky being crystal clear, so i pulled over and gave'er a whirl. i know these are not great, but the beauty is the development of the process.

at this point, i had no hands-on experience of what i was doing. there was the knowledge of my camera's functions, and the basic concept of what needed to be done. you can see how they began to unfold over the course of the shoot.

look for the "first star (edits)" folder which will have the few pics i thought were worth their weight
