Starting the morning off a little spicy! 🤪
Here’s a little more insight into my takes:
🎞️Film photography is an art form (esp with a manual camera where you dial in all the settings.) There is more intention behind each frame and a whole process to actually get the film developed. It’s possible to land somewhere in the middle of loving the process but also loving the aesthetic (honestly I’m probably here), but if you only like added grain then you just want the vibe of film…
💵I’m just saying the more a photographer cost does not always guarantee better work by default. I’ve seen new photographers who priced themselves in comparison to others in the market without factoring in their experience or skill. I’ve also seen photographer with years of experience with lower prices, and have stunning images and work ethic compared to others.
Higher prices ≠ better photographer
💐Pinterest looking weddings are easy to photography. Styled shoots with models are easy to photograph. The Aesthetics and models do all the heavy lifting. Everywhere you turn is pretty!!
You have to set up real couples in comfortable and flattering positions and make THEM feel good. You have your shoot creatively to elevate your images when in a space this is simpler. Lower budget weddings can be just as pretty, but it takes more skill and work to get there.
✨Would you rather have 100 out of focus and blurry images OR 2 solid, stunning portraits? The quality of the images really matters on a wedding day. I don’t think photographers should have a cut off of only X number delivered, but there is a point where too many images, and too many duplicate images, ruin the experience of the final gallery.
With all the being said, what do you think?
