When is the best time to schedule your newborn session? The ideal photographing period is between 5-12 days, but what about preemies?

Your baby’s health and safety is the number one priority. Once your baby is home, healthy, and a minimum of 6lbs, I can photograph your baby. This timeline looks different for every child, but usually keeping our tentative date of one week after your due date is still a good estimate, which is what we did for this session.

This studio represents years of growth, countless hours behind the camera, and the unwavering support of every family who has trusted me to capture their most cherished moments. Thank you for believing in my work, sharing my name with friends, leaving kind reviews, and inviting me into some of life's most meaningful milestones. Because of you, this dream has become a reality. I am so excited for all of the memories that will be created here and for this next chapter of my business. My heart is so full, and I cannot wait to welcome both familiar and new faces into the studio.

Somebody pinch me! Feeling incredibly grateful and honored to have received not just one, but TWO First Place ribbons and one Third Place ribbon in the 2026 San Diego County Fair International Photography Exhibition.

In 2025, I was honored to receive four ribbons on four images in the exhibition. This year, it’s three ribbons on three images. It’s becoming increasingly challenging to outperform my previous entries, and that’s a challenge I’m grateful to have.

As artists, we spend so much time behind the scenes creating, learning, and growing that it’s easy to forget to pause and celebrate the milestones along the way. This recognition is such a meaningful reminder that hard work, passion, and persistence are always worth it.

What makes these awards even more special is that none of these images were created with competition in mind. They began as ideas I shared with clients who simply said, “I trust your vision.”

To every client who has given me that creative freedom, thank you. Your trust allows me to create my best work, push my creativity further, and honestly makes photography even more fun for me. I couldn’t ask for a greater compliment.

This year’s exhibition received over 4,000 entries, with approximately 1,400 photographs selected for display. If you’re planning a trip to the San Diego County Fair before July 4, be sure to stop by the photography gallery and spend some time exploring the incredible artwork on display. I’m honored to have my work hanging alongside so many talented photographers.

Happy Mother’s Day to the mothers, the mothers to be, the first time moms, the seasoned moms, the waiting moms, and the women pouring their hearts into their families every single day. It is an honor to capture these fleeting seasons and the love that makes them so beautiful.
