GIVEAWAY CLOSED: The percentage of Single Parents in San Diego county has been hovering just below 30% for the last few years. It’s difficult to empathize with single parents unless you’ve been in their situation. It’s even more difficult to understand what a child is going through without their mom or dad.

I grew up with a single mom of 4 boys, who worked full time and went to school. She taught me work ethic, how to lead my family, and most importantly she taught me how to care for others. This holiday season we want to honor single parents with a free photoshoot and gifts from some amazing local small businesses.

When: Tuesday, December 10
Time: 6:30pm, 7pm, 7:30pm, & 8pm

Also: Saturday, December 14
Time: 3:30pm, 4pm, 4:30pm, 5pm, 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, & 7pm

Where: Our studio! Our team will set up the studio with a rustic and modern Christmas theme. Come in your formal wear, your pijamas or your ugly Christmas sweaters.

Thought the years, we've signed up for some stuff that later in the game we did not know if we would survive. From buying an investment property, home renovation, financial risk, moving states, working from home, career changes and now running our own business. Then mix in that already scary and chaotic life: pride, stubbornness, declining health, losing and gaining health, changing seasons in parenting and within our marriage. It can all be frightening but this is us. Always pushing each other to take a bold stipend work through it together as a family.

All this to say to our married and engaged couples, don't forget to support your spouse's goals. Talk about your dreams together. Align with a vision and stay the course. It all ends up being worthy if you don't give up.

It was so heartwarming seeing the love these sisters have for Emma. My sister and I are 6 years apart and my love for her is undeniable. However, the age gap had always caused us to have a distant relationship. Something about me moving away for a while made me realize how much I enjoy her company. Surprisingly, we have more in common that we would like to admit.
