This Nikon F3 had an odd problem.
It would release but not wind on. The lever that would release the transport was not moving far enough. I had to pull the shutter apart and found this little curved piece jammed against the body. It was difficult to dig out! This was pretty unusual but definitely exciting to troubleshoot and find the issue.
When you love what you do these problems can be fun to solve!

These white spots are a type of corrosion. See the difference between the black and white. Before starting too clean, it was all white…. Ended up taking it all off.

Stuff like this can be taken care of by using any a mild bathroom mold/mildew cleaner. ✨
