I’m making a small but intentional shift in how I use social media this year.

The way posts are shown on Facebook has changed a lot, and most updates from this page no longer reach many of the people who actually want to see them. Because of that, I’m going to focus my energy on my personal Facebook profile going forward.

If we know each other in real life, feel free to send me a friend request:

If you’d rather just follow along, you can click Follow—most of what I post is public.

I’ll also be spending more time on LinkedIn, where conversations and engagement have been much more active lately:

Late last year, I had a thoughtful conversation with Jennifer Fink on the Fading Memories podcast.

This episode, "Saving Your Family Memories with Mylio Photos", is especially for anyone caring for a loved one with memory loss, or anyone overwhelmed by decades of photos with no clear plan.

We talk about my own family’s experience with Alzheimer’s and why photos matter so much. A single image can spark recognition, emotion, and conversation. We also touch on how tools like Mylio Photos can help organize even unlabeled prints, so the focus stays on sharing, not sorting.

This work is about preserving context, stories, and connection.

Kilchurn Castle sits on a narrow peninsula at the eastern end of Loch Awe and was built in the 15th century by the Campbells of Glenorchy.

Over time, it evolved from a simple tower house into a fortified residence and garrison. By the 1700s, the castle was largely abandoned, leaving behind the ruins that remain today.

This visit was a short stop during the drive from Edinburgh to Oban. The weather was unsettled, but we had a brief pause between squalls — just enough time to step out and capture a few frames.

Part Three of my Scotland series is live.

This one covers our drive from Edinburgh to Oban—my first time driving on the left, three castle stops along the way, some rain, and enjoying a slower pace by the sea.

If you'd like to read the full story and see the photos, it's here:

As I continue to go through and edit photos from Scotland, there are many places I want to go back to and spend time studying the landscape. Glencoe is one of those places.

One day is enough to drive through and enjoy the spectacular scenery, but as a photographer, we study the subject, the light, and one day is just an introduction. I got several shots that I love from this magnificent valley, but I can only imagine the images I could make if I had more time.

Until next time, I'm still dreaming of Scotland.

Black Friday is the best time of year to save on photo gear, software, prints, and tools I use every day.

I pulled together my favorite deals from Peak Design, Topaz Labs, Adobe, Printique, SlickPic, and more—plus a few personal picks you might find helpful.

If you've been waiting to upgrade or want gift ideas for the photographer in your life, here's what I recommend.

My favorite Black Friday 2025 photography deals all in one place—bags, software, printing, galleries, and more from brands I use and trust. Great gifts for photographers and the best prices of the year.

I recently joined Gilda Evans on the Autism Resource Podcast for a conversation about something deeply important: keeping our memories safe.

We talked about practical ways to organize and protect photos, why backups matter, and how simple systems can make it easier to preserve the moments that matter, especially for families in the special needs community who rely on photos for communication, connection, and storytelling.

Gilda's podcast is an incredible resource, and I'm grateful for the chance to contribute.

The interior of St. Giles Cathedral is quite a sight to see. The amount of detail carved into this space is unbelievable with centuries of work, skill, and dedication in every line. Parts of the cathedral date back to the 14th century, and you can feel that history as soon as you look up.

More from our time in Edinburgh is in Part One of my Scotland series: https://angelaandrieux.com/postcards-from-scotland-part-one-edinburgh/?utm_campaign=coschedule&utm_source=facebook_page&utm_medium=Angela%20Andrieux%20Photography&utm_content=Postcards%20from%20Scotland%2C%20Part%20One%20-%20Edinburgh
