From Sunrise Highway in the Mt. Laguna area, the sunset was putting on a ridiculous show.

Captured with a DJI Mini 5 Pro on one of those evenings where the sky does most of the work. The mountain views, open space, and late-day light made the whole scene feel a little unreal.

It may be called Sunrise Highway, but the sunsets are pretty amazing too. 😍

Shot with a DJI Mini 5 Pro in the Mt. Laguna area, part of Cleveland National Forest. The views up there are already beautiful from the ground, but seeing the landscape from above gives the whole area a different feel.

While in Chula Vista for a client project, we had to stop for a moment and take in the views near the Ga***rd Pacific Resort & Convention Center.

San Diego’s South Bay looks beautiful from above. Then again, we may be slightly biased.

Recent real estate drone photography project in Point Loma.

Drone Company San Diego captured aerial photos and video for a home with wide views, multiple outdoor decks, and great outdoor living space. The shoot required extra planning due to restricted airspace near San Diego International Airport, low-altitude LAANC approval, power lines, bird activity, and classic May Gray conditions.

The final media helped show the property layout, views, outdoor areas, and surrounding neighborhood in a way ground-level photos alone can’t always capture.

We also created a few AI-enhanced photo examples at the end of the article to show how sky improvements, lighting adjustments, minor cleanup, and presentation enhancements can be used carefully and transparently in real estate marketing.

Behind the scenes from a real estate photography shoot in Point Loma, San Diego with Drone Company San Diego and the DJI Air 3S.

This project included a mix of real estate photography, aerial drone visuals, and behind the scenes footage from the shoot. The goal was to capture the property, surrounding Point Loma neighborhood, and coastal San Diego setting in a way that feels clean, professional, and useful for real estate marketing.

Since it was a cloudy day, some scenes were digitally enhanced with AI to create a brighter, more polished real estate look while keeping the property and setting realistic. Basically, giving the weather a little help without turning the house into a fantasy castle. Very responsible wizardry.

DJI Air 3S Anti-Bird Reflective Tape Setup

I already had red reflective tape on the DJI Air 3S, but after a few birds got a little too interested near the coast, I added prism-style reflective tape too.

This video shows the updated tape setup and how the added reflective strips look on the Air 3S.
