Spread between Boulder, Colorado and San Clemente, California, we got to blend a ton of epic locations and activities. The highlight of these projects is always getting to collaborate with rad people. Filming with professional surfer , professional mountain biker and filmmaker and professional ultra runner/gravel biker/mountaineer was pretty special.

The campaign went live today on

Looking forward to sharing much more soon beyond these film shots of good times and questionable exposure. Now, on to the next one 🤙

Some backseat snaps of Captain Corey. On location in Northern Montana. My first ride in a bush plane, filming for OluKai’s Fall ‘24 boot campaign.

I always bring a still film or digital camera on shoots expecting to get some cool shots… and always forget about it… these were all the photos I ended getting on the trip. Good memories regardless. One of my last projects on staff at OluKai. It was definitely a memorable one.

Snuck out to Denver for a week to reconnect with old friends. Snuck in some climbing, running, a midnight mission to watch the aurora, and a 3-day raft trip. Had a wild time floating 30 miles on the upper Colorado.

Dreamy summer morning surfing with and

Experimenting with slow shutter speed photography from the water. Tricky to keep things stable while swimming but fun when you get something semi sharp. Looking forward to dialing it in more next time.

Frames from my first shark dive. I had the honor of photographing the legend in his native habitat. Diving with his camera, surrounded by Galapagos and sandbar sharks, far out to sea off the North Shore of O’ahu.

As a shark portrait photographer Mike tells the story of nature’s most misunderstood animal. After losing his leg, and nearly his life, to a tiger shark on his home island of Kaua’i, Mike has dedicated himself to telling their story. His perspective pushes back against the Shark Week and Hollywood narrative of the bloodthirsty monster. Mike sees a bit of himself in sharks and his goal is to evoke that same feeling those who view his work. Without sharks, the ocean ecosystem would collapse. They deserve our respect and need our protected room.

Needless to say this was my favorite shoot to be a part of in my career so far. I highly recommend getting in the water to see sharks up close. It was a beautiful moment that I’ll always remember.

Frames from the filming of “The Call.” A film produced by telling Mike’s story. Available on YouTube, please give it a watch if you haven’t yet had the chance!
