The Endangered Species Act (ESA) and Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) are under attack!
A House subcommittee is meeting on February 26th to discuss weakening these vital acts.
The ESA has prevented the extinction of 99% of listed species, including the bald eagle and the grizzly bear. The MMPA protects marine mammals and their ecosystems, like the humpback whale and the sea otter.
These acts are crucial for protecting our wildlife, environment, and ultimately, our survival.
Deregulating these acts could lead to habitat destruction, pollution, and overfishing, harming both wildlife and humans.
We need to speak up and protect these important laws!
