Wear the boots, pick a place you love, bring the chickens whatever feels like you two. Your bridal portraits can literally look however you want them to!!!

If you’ve followed me for a while, you might have noticed that family sessions don’t make it onto my feed very often anymore.

And it’s definitely not because I stopped photographing them. I actually photograph lots of families, and some of my favorite images I’ve ever taken are of your babies being completely themselves!!

A while ago, I quietly made the decision to be much more intentional about the photos of children I share online. While I love photographing your beautiful kiddos, you’ll very rarely see a clear, straight-on photo of them on my feed. I’m also careful about sharing names, locations, or other identifying information alongside them.

With how quickly technology and AI are changing, I’ve just become increasingly aware that once I put an image online, I don’t really have control over where it goes, who saves it, or how it could potentially be used.

As a photographer, you trust me with photos of some of the most important people in your life. And while I absolutely love getting to photograph your kiddos, I don’t think loving an image automatically means it needs to be shared with the internet

So if you’ve ever wondered why I photographed your family and never posted your session, please know it wasn’t because I didn’t love your photos. Sometimes loving the photos means letting them belong to you. 🤍

I’ll still share little pieces of family sessions here and there, but I’ll continue doing it in a way that feels thoughtful and protective of the tiny humans in front of my camera 🥹
