Didn't miss NFL football as much as I though when our Pro team left SD. Two college teams in San Diego and I shoot for the one that you don't hear much about. But you should pay attention to the USD Toreros. Yesterday they clinched 11th conference title and their 6th straight Pioneer Football league Title, 6 straight! They also extended their conference winning streak to 36 games, tied for the second-longest streak in FCS history. Here are a couple cool sequences from the game. The trick is to be in the right place at the right time! My first great sequence of a player getting their helmet ripped off and an awesome touchdown catch and! Keep an eye on this team in the post season!

I am often asked how do I get so many great sports photos per event that I shoot. The most truthful answer is that I shoot a lot of pictures. I have been doing this for over 30 years, to be good at what you do takes time and effort. For every 10 pictures you take, I might take 100. I was reminded just how many pictures I take in a year by this notice from Dropbox. This was my archive from 1 client, it is one years worth of usable images which means that I probably shot closer to 40 thousand images for them. So the moral of this story is to get out there and shoot more pictures. Experiment, crank up the ISO and shoot at night. Slow the shutter speed and light subjects with a flash light. Dare to be different!

So stoked to have reconnected with my friend Brett Ellis. We are at the beginning of what will be at least a years worth of work writing and producing music videos as well as interviews and possibly a documentary.
