The SFPA is planning our first styled studio day for sometime in the next few months! If you'd like to attend please fill out this availability form so we can get an idea of how many people are available on which dates. There will be multiple timeslots available to choose from on any given date:�

••••••••••••••••• Some info on the studio days •••••••••••••••••�
Cost: $100 / hour or $150 per two hours, 50% paid upon booking, remainder due at the end of the session (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle or Paypal)
What's included: Two models + looks per hour, makeup + hair, wardrobe, studio rental, coffee + snacks
How it works:
• Each photographer will have 30 mins. with each model; 15 mins. of photographer A directing, 15 mins. of photographer B directing.
• At the 30 min. mark, photographers A + B will swap models with photographers C + D
• There will be 4 photographers in the studio at one time (the studio we are using will have two seperate rooms so we can do two different lighting techniques in each room)
• After 1 hour all models change wardrobe
• If you book 1 hour you will be photographing two models, directing half the time
• If you book 2 hours you will be photographing four models, directing half the time
• You will be requested to share some of your images with the SFPA, MUAH artists and designer so we can use for our respective marketing (you can just send them to me and I will pass them along)�

This is a great way for us all to learn from each other, advance our studio skills and grow our portfolios!

PKOK, a fantastic fashion boutique on Haight St. in SF has been kind enough to lend us wardrobe for the day. The aesthetic I'm hoping to curate will be edgy glamour, street-style vibe. Classy and elegant but with a bit of an edge. Perfect fodder for fashion portfolios :)

If you have any model recommendations, MUAH artists or lighting techniques you'd like us to incorporate feel free to send me a message with any ideas you may have!

••• RECAP from Saturday’s meeting! •••

For those of you who couldn’t make it on Saturday, here’s a brief recap of what we talked about…

* The SFPA is a resource-based community-centric team with the goal of bringing photographers of all practices together to learn and grow as a community
* All types of photographers are welcome (amateur / hobbyist and professionals included) + hair / makeup stylists, designers and models are all welcome too :)
* Membership is free, there will only be fees if you want to attend styled studio days (so we can pay the models + rent the studio space)
* Hoping to have monthly meetings and styled studio days
* Long-term I want to do runway shows, art gallery shows, workshops and styled photoshoots in and out of SF
* The goal is to be SUPER collaborative so everyone can participate and learn from each other

A little bit about me (Emily Pillon, Creative Director of the SFPA)…

* I’ve been working in the art industry for a long time at several galleries and for different non-profits and associations, finally ready to grow my own team

Big shoutout to everyone who came out to join the crew! It was so fun talking about photography with y’all, those three hours FLEW by.
