Those extra hours made room for moments like these. 💕

I hear it often.
“We can skip the getting ready photos.”
Sometimes it’s because the wedding party isn’t big or because it just simply didn’t seem significant during the planning process.

But I promise you, adding those extra hours is worth it because you’ll get to see behind the scenes and see moments that you didn’t know happened - all details that add to your special day.

Who else welcomed the rain on New Year’s Day?

It was amusing because it was truly a fresh new start - the past washed away.

I thank God that each year has gotten better and better and this year…I’m setting some pretty big goals for myself personally and professionally, embarking on new adventures that I can’t wait to share.

One of those goals is to capture more love stories at dream locations and venues.

Every photographer, including myself, has been on the edge of their seat the past few weeks due to the rain and back-to-back holiday sessions scheduled.

Sometimes you just have to embrace the weather and that’s exactly what we did. All smiles despite the drizzle and the Golden Gate Bridge decided to be a part of the fun too! 🙂

I’ve heard “I think I’ll book a session when my kids are older. They won’t even look at the camera.” one too many times.

But here’s the thing, they don’t need to look at the camera and neither do you. Sometimes the best moments are the ones in-between - the moments that aren’t forced where everyone can just be.

My hope is that when you look back at the photos, you’ll remember the details of that very moment like the warmth of the cuddles while you cradle your little ones in your arms and wipe away their tears and sound of their giggles while being tickled and chased. ❤️

When A asked if I could capture their family photos at this year, it was an easy yes for me.

We’ve both been to Filoli countless times, but never get tired of what it has to offer. I especially love introducing new couples and families to Filoli because I get to be a part of their new experience, playing tour guide while capturing their memories at this beautiful garden.

Excited to be back again later this week. 🤭
