Hello there! My name is Shannon, I'm a freelance visual artist based in San Francisco. I'd love to make some photographic art with you! My passion for light and color began back in high school, when I was playing around with my first film camera. From turning my closet into a makeshift darkroom, to experimenting with different chemical processing techniques - I was addicted to the entire process o

f analog shooting. To support this pricey hobby, I got my first job at a photo lab and studio. It was here that I learned the nuts and bolts of digital equipment and film development. In my free time, I started taking pictures of my classmates, and before I knew it, the referrals were pouring in. I was in business! My next job was in the wedding industry (as a DJ of all things!) where I got to work very closely with dozens of talented photographers, gaining invaluable insight and making lifelong connections. Not long after, I was being asked to model for editorials, and learned about the kind of planning and teamwork it takes to pull off a successful styled shoot. I also learned that alpacas bite, and that eyebrow gel is highly flammable. Since then I've created stunning imagery for countless clients, ranging from headshots and weddings, to styled editorials, products and food! Along with my own freelance work, I've second shot for several nationally acclaimed wedding photographers, and have been lucky enough to collaborate with many talented stylists and makeup artists. I'm always looking for new models and projects to collaborate on! Let's get shooting :-)
