A bonus New York photo I just came across on my phone. This was the last day before leaving -- we only had a couple of hours to explore the Exchange in Jersey City and I left my camera at the Airbnb.

It was my first time at Domino Park. The second photo is probably not the best one from this group objectively, but I just loved how the sun peaked through brick wall. It was one of those moments that felt very special.

After Joshua Tree, with a stop in Vegas, I headed to New York (one of my favorite cities in the world) to spend a few days with a childhood friend and his sister who were visiting from Kyiv. Great weather, views, food, music... we had an amazing time.

The views of the bay and San Francisco are always magnificent from Mt. Tam. But this time it was the geometry around these five trees on a nearby hill that caught my eye more than anything else.

The Grand Staircase! That's the answer to the previous post's question. That's what was unusual about that set of photos: it didn't feature The Grand Staircase, a must for a photo session at the SF City Hall. Or is it? How do you feel about it? Nearly every couple takes photos there — is it important for you for your photos to be unique or do you want that classic look? I always try to find new angles even at well known locations, but ultimately I get a feel for what will make the couple happy and go with that.

Had the pleasure of photographing Regina Zavodovskaya in her studio Artwheel Academy LLC last week: portraits and candidly while she worked. Being in an artist’s space is so inspiring. Interesting light, cozy setting, beautiful artwork, and a wonderful subject... such a fun session!
