This bird hides a brilliant crimson crown beneath the shadows of the forest floor.
The Crimson-headed Partridge is a shy ground-dwelling bird found in the cool mountain forests of Southeast Asia. Its rich crimson head, dark body, and bold white markings make it one of the region's most striking yet seldom-seen partridges. It quietly searches the leaf litter for seeds, berries, insects, and other small invertebrates, disappearing into dense vegetation at the first sign of danger.
A hidden jewel of the highland forests, reminding us that nature's brightest treasures are often the hardest to find.
